thanks for the link. i like to listen by myself. there is one thing i am very interested in how DM was talking about. someone has already mentioned his name, TW. The way DM was talking makes me think he and RA is not on the same page regarding TW but he did mention he respected RA's decision. immediately after that, he said TW has 4 years left on his contract and he will stick with rox for a long time and he will have opportunities. To me, it sounds RA won't be here after this season. TW will have playing time. on the other side, it still bother me about comments RA had on TW a while ago. he didn't mention TW is bad. he just said there is no opportunity for him to play until someone plays bad or injury. last nite, we had a golden opportunity for TW to play but RA still refuse to use him. if i am correct, RA was lying about why TW not playing and he just doesn't like TW or he doesn't TW is good. ok, i am not here to try to stir something. this is what the impression this interview gives to me.
This interview really surprised me about one thing: Our front office doesn't seem to interact with the coaching staff a whole lot. I don't know if this is par for the course in the NBA, but I would have assumed the FO and coaches would have been in near-constant communication, especially given the tactical resources the Rockets' databases can deliver. I applaud Morey for standing behind the decisions of Adelman because you can't run an organization second-guessing the decisions of your managers, especially in public, but damn, Rick! Put Terrence in the game!
I just don't understand why Morey haven't done a trade for Dalembert berore he was traded to SAC? And now, Morey will try to get Dalembert from SAC?
Daryl: Spoiler http://houston.cbslocal.com/?podcas...tation_id=63&audio_link=true&dcid=CBS.HOUSTON Spoiler Daryl, Good morning. Tough one last night. Rockets battled back but fell short. Came up short but guys battled. 4th game in 5 nights, guys just ran out of gas. Yeah, if you were able to pull that off, would've been incredible. You gotta be pleased since the ASB and trade deadline. Getting more minutes for young guys and they're making the most of it. Yeah big part of the trades was to give some of these guys a chance to play and show what they can do. Generally surprised in one direction or the other: good or bad. Guys like Chase have stepped up, Lee has stepped up, Gragic has logged good minutes, and Kyle has put it in another gear. That's where I was going. Cannot be more impressed at the way he has embraced that role. How much has to do with him knowing it's his team. Hard to know that. Impossible to figure that out. I do know that he always hoped for that to be the case. He worked well w/ Aaron but now that he gotta sorta think clearly, he has taken the responsibility to be the PG and guy who is responsible for getting up the wins. Scola w/ injury in Portland --played right through it. Played 36 minutes last night. How big of a factor is it going forward? Was a minor sprain. Training staff put him through a rigorous test before Portland game --they thought it might be best to sit out but he passed all the tests like he wasnt hurt at all. He's a warrior and hard to keep off the floor. Going back to last night, you distributed the ball, didnt turn it over, did a lot of things well and not to make excuses but case of 4 games in 5 nights. We did. We are a team that is very good offensively right now. Top 5 in the league. Hard to guard. Kyle pushing tempo, Chase running with him, Luis is rimmed around, Kevin trailing hitting threes, and Chuck with the outlet, it's hard to guard. We need to get the D middle of the pack and we'll fight this out into the playoffs. Last night, D rebounding biggest reason we lost. Dragic has to find....he knows his role but has to mesh w/ his teammates. We've seen some nice moments from him. Talk about his performance and expectations going forward. Hasnt had a practice. Spoke to him after his first game, asked him how it's going, he said "I dont know the plays so I just go to basket." in my best Dragic accent. He is Slovenian, great country over there. He is excited. New enviornment. He can attack the basket and really pass the ball as well. Defensively is probably where he needs to improve but we really like him as the backup point. Indiana Saturday. This run you're on, no reason it cant continue. It will take a lot and you'll need help but there is still a chance you can get it done. We do have the easiest schedule left. Doesnt mean much, have to go out and win them. Indiana on paper we should win but we've struggled against lesser teams at home. We got to focus and make sure we get it done. Were you on the road w/ team last night? No, on the road for college games. Seen anything good lately? Absolutely. We have 2 picks now so we'll see if we can find something. You can say the games. Anything you can share? The Purdue-Illinois game. Purdue playing very well right now. They got a bunch of good players, Illinois got a couple that will probably get drafted as well. Enjoyed your tweets on things you dont say at Sloan. Care to elaborate? We have a conference every year on people who analyze all the major sports. We try to learn from the other sports. Cant learn from our own. We keep things quiet. Across sport, we pick things up. How many GMs are on twitter? Uhh, a couple I think. RC Buford is on there. He would be mad I told you that. A hidden account or something. There are a few on. Carroll Dawson is on. I'm kidding. Is CD going to do work with Hasheem? Yeah, they'll get together Friday this week. What about him? Hard for him to get on the floor but gotta be eager to see what can happen over time. Absolutely. Had solid first year, really struggled this year. Really only struggled once. We think he can turn it around or else we wouldnt have made the move. Thanks Daryl. Thanks, talk to you soon.
This - Chase's ability to run with Lowry - may be one of the big differences between Battier and Budinger as our SF. More often than not, Battier looked to get in the paint and battle for the rebound, while I've noticed several times Budinger positioning himself to take off to the other side of the court, like Martin often does. I wonder if our fast-break opportunities will increase in the remainder of the season.
Ha, crazy isn't it? We just gotta get our kids to keep battlefightin', keep workin', and no doubt, good things will come our way sooner rather than later. Trying to be partial serious here ha.
Don't blame the defensive problems on the guys at the back. If our guys at the front could supply any pressure, we wouldn't depend so much on the guys at the back.
I didn't even think about the possibility of the Rockets winning the Most Improved Player two years in a row -- and both being PGs!
