    Yeah, the same thing happens almost every year. Lackluster play for most of the season, and then a frantic push towards the end of the season to capture the 9th or 10th seed and a crappy draft pick.

    Every year? Do you mean specifically last year?

    How about this for percentages, since 2000, the Rockets have missed the playoffs 6 times (2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2006, 2010) and the times they made it in, were all first round byes except for 2009.

    Western Conference playoff spots (my opinion)
    1. San Antonio
    2. Dallas
    3. Lakers
    4. OKC
    5. Denver
    6. Portland
    7.Memphis
    8. Rockets

    I think 1-4 are a lock. Denver the way there playing are gonna make the playoffs. Ithink portland will make it, once Wallace get into his groove I think Portland will be pretty good. Memphis is playing pretty well and they are gonna make it in my opinion.

    The last playoffs spot is ours to take. I know that loss to the Clippers hurt but were still in it. New Orleans schedule is BRUTAL, and they keep losing. We play them agaain and that game is a must win. Utah is the titanic that just hit the iceburg because they are sinking fast. I think it will be between us and phoenix. Right now we have 4 more losses than they do, but like new orleans they have a killer schedule. We play them two more times and if w can beat them both those games I think we will be able to slide in the 8th and final playoff spot.

    The games against Utah, New Orleans, and two against Phoenix are must wins. If we can win those and beat the teams we should beat then we will be fine
