I believe in Positive thinking, looking at the silver lining in the clouds.
The Law of Attraction says what you think about you bring about, so for my first ever thread:
The all encompassing Positive Rockets thread!
What do you love about this team?
Who is your favorite player now & all time?
What is your All time Rockets moment?
    All time Rockets Team? 1st, 2nd & 3rd teams.
    Most underated players?
Who has biggest upside / potential ?
Post your favorite pic or PhotoShop, post a message of support show some love!

I love this team always have, always will.

I believe we are very close to becoming a perennial contender again. A decent center away. Martin is an awesome scorer, as is Scola. Our team has heart the size of Texas. All it would take is something as little as G Wallace & a Dalembert to help on D and protect the rim, and we're back baby!

I might sound a little crazy, but I'm crazy for my Rockets, if that's a crime I'll do life.

Lastly, the only time the word tank is to mentioned in this thread is to describe the Chuckwagon's physique !

    Go Rockets!

Positive thinking. Law of attraction. I love it. This is what it should always be about. The more people thinking the same way would definitely help. Right now, i'm thinking T-Will and Thabeet will be our future stars. Hope this works. Let's go Rockets!;)

My All time favorite player is Hakeem The Dream Olajuwon.
    Followed by Yao Ming.

Martin's play this season, and the emergence of Patterson has been a highlight this year, as has Scola's play on the low block, and of course The Chuckwagon leading the D at 6'6".

Favorite moment is our first Championship against Knicks and a close 2nd is when Olajuwon tipped in Drexler's miss in O T , against Magic in game 1 of Finals the following year.

The future looks bright, Free agents will be fighting to be a part of the next Rocket Dynasty and play here in Houston.

I'm praying that Yao comes back like the Big Z did, and can give us a few more good productive years.

    We are Positive!

Not too sure about that one. We need a lot more than Wallace and/or Dalembert.

...if you're talking about being a contender, anyway.

    Really? Where have they been?

I said 'Future', 'the next Dynasty', you are referring to the past.
You can only make your future from your future, not your past.

If we can assemble a formidable supporting cast, that plays hard every night and make noise in the post season, free agents would love to be part of that.

But to answer your question, Amare not taking a physical, LeBron and co had already made.up their mind, as did Melo. No other major superstar free agent last season. Morey is (imo) looking at bigger fish in 2012.

Give me development, hustle and desire, we've seen all three since the deadline. The club is young with the exceptions of Scola and Miller so growth is expected and I think we are going to see some major movement at the draft that, hopefully, will energize the franchise once again.

Kind of reminds of the Astros when they made the moves to trade Oswalt and Berkman last year....the Astros before the trade were going nowhere, but when they went with the youth movement it re-energized the club....alot like with the rockets after the deadline this year....lots of potential, but only time will tell

Way to come strong ...That's the passion I've had all these years...I relate to your post on many levels. It might take a bit longer to get where we want to go but I'm on the same page with ya.

Favorite player of all time - I'm a UH PSJ guy so of course I've been privileged to see Dream throughout his whole career.....

My favorite player now is Luis Scola as he exemplifies what it's all about. (which is interesting as I would deal him for the right player or pick in a heartbeat)
..Guess it depends on what shakes loose for DM...We are being PATIENT AND PREDATORY.

Sampson's shot is by far my most intense Rockets moment. Both for the moment as I was watching it at a jammed pack local pub. And also as far as standing the test of time. Yes, even more than that first title. No team, but the Rockets (twice) got out of the West during the decade of the eighties besides the Lakers. And to have to deal with that Boston team both times.I mean if we hadn't had to handle the two greatest dynasties in the history of the sport the Rockets would have at least a couple of more titles. I sincerely believe those teams were greater than our title teams.

ISA DAVID really 13. Not bad post for a 13 year old.

Just kidding. Staying positive is good, just keep it reality based.

Besides the "noise in the playoffs" part, you just described our team over the past several years. When have we NOT had a formidable supporting cast that plays hard? Why haven't free agents wanted/loved to be a part of those teams? Kevin Martin might be the best #2 option in the league and we still can't lure a star.

Impossible is nothing, I just don't agree with your valuation of those players. Wallace and Dalembert wouldn't make this team a contender, IMHO. I believe we are at least 3 years away from true contention.
