Don't take this personally, because I don't know where you actually have come down on this in the past, but it's pretty amusing that people talk about developing guys and NOT wanting those same guys to get playoff experience.

During the 4 games in 5 days stretch:
3-0 when he plays (NO, NJ, POR)
    0-1 when he doesn't (LAC)

IMO he deserves about 5-7 minutes. He has potential, he just needs a little time to show it.

You can't win in the playoffs if you don't make the playoffs.

How do you know that Duncan doesn't tear an ACL in the 1st game of the series (see Perkins, Kendrick), and increase our chances of winning? What if Manu flops so hard that he breaks his pelvis? What if Tony Parker doesn't recover fully from his injuries?

You never know what can happen. You gotta make the playoffs to have a fighting chance to win in the playoffs. Heck, Denver beat Seattle in the 93-94 playoffs....anything can happen.

    1) Come on. He played less than five minutes and took two shots. He didn't turn the ball over and had an assist. I agree that he's not a perfect fit in Adelman's offense. He seems to have the JT attack mode.. but McGrady wasn't a perfect fit in our offense either -- and we made it work. Now I don't mean to say TWill = McGrady, I'm just pointing out that a good coach should take advantage of the talent he has on his team. I hate the idea of Adelman not playing someone because his game doesn't fit Adelman's system -- change your system when he's in the game to take advantage of what he can bring!

I'm not advocating for Rick to completely abandon the motion offense. I'm just asking he simplify it a bit when Terrence is in the game. It wouldn't be hard for the Rockets to run more pick-and-roll with Twill in the game. His strength is his ball-handling, penetration and passing ability. Put him in more pick-and-roll sets and let him create some offense for us! It should be a simple fix..

    2) Courtney Lee is absolutely better than Terrence Williams -- you won't find me making that argument. I'm not complaining that CLee is getting into the game before Twill. But that doesn't mean you can't find for some spot minutes for Terrence Williams. Play him eight minutes in the first half, with the option of more minutes in the second half if he plays well. We need to see what he can do -- there's no reason we can't find some minutes for him AND push for the playoffs. It's ridiculous that TWill couldn't even give ANY of our rotation players a minute of rest on the fourth game in five nights.

    Adelman needs to wake up.

I think a little bit, or maybe a lot, of the problem is that while Rick was willing to alter his offense for two stars, he is just not willing to do it for T-Will. Seems like a clash of egos and neither is willing to budge. Williams has a style of play that seems to not mesh well with Adelman's offense, I think this is going to be a concern going forward even if he does start playing more.

I really didn't have an issue with his tweeting when the club was struggling and looked lost, Adelman was trying the same thing over and over and it was frustrating to watch. Problem is, the club is winning now and his tweets are sounding more like whining then frustration. If the club isn't going well and you think you can help then I can see the issue but when the club is going through it's best stretch of ball, crying about playing time doesn't look to good.

Rick pulled starters last night in the first quarter. Chuck, Kevin, Luis, also Jordan (nonstarter), he sat everybody down but he left Chase in there. I remember Chase being 1 for 5 at that time and being a total sieve defensively. So, don't understand why Rick would pull everybody else out for a blow and not pull out Chase....unless TWill has gotten on his nerves and is stinking up the offense. And if TWill is stinking up the offense, I still don't understand it in light of the fact that Rick let Brooks get major burn all the while he was stinking it up game after game.

TWill should have played last night, if just for spot minutes. We needed something going to the hoop because our legs were dead and the three ball wasn't falling. He should've got minutes with instructions to take it to the rim strong.

Brooks earned his chance to get back to his former self with what he did for the team last year and how well he played. That's why I think he got all that playing time. Twill will get his chance, he just needs to Stfu with his tweets.

Let me explain that for you. Everyone wants to make the playoffs because most people don't have a loser mentality. They would simply rather NOT watch the team lose, under any circumstances.

Lemme guess. You're commenting from home. You didn't go to work today because you're not going to become the CEO of Google this year. Why try, right? Right?

1.) In those 5 minutes he played he stuck out like a sore thumb. Everyone was moving without the ball but TWilliams. Thats the easiest way to get benched on a Rick Adelman offense.

I think Adelman wont change his system totally but he will tweak it in time to find a better fit for Terrence regarding matchups and where he wants him to have the ball and get open looks.

Also who he plays will be a big factor as well. The problem is, if this team is making a run now, its not a good time to really mess the chemistry up. Right now the rotation of Lowry /Martin /Lee /Budinger is working very well.

2.) If Lee is absorbing Terrence's extra five minutes and doesn't give up anything on defense (which he is at least = with Twill IMO on defense at the SF position) It actually helps the team win. Smaller rotations work the best come playoff time. Most playoff teams have an 8 man rotation. They rotated 10 last night.

T-Will needs to shut the hell up..Seriously.

Hey T-Will, you can play the whole game, every game on my rec league basketball team and I will take your place and get paid millions to sit on a bench, work hard and cheer for the Rockets, deal?

Lets give players who do not deserve minutes more minutes! Aaron Brooks 2010-2011 part 2!

Our posts are not absurd, you are just an idiot.

This thread is kind of fascinating, in that we wouldn't be having this discussion AT ALL if it weren't for Twitter. Instead, we'd be praising T-Will for his model behavior on the bench and saying what an idiot Avery Johnson is for those disciplinary issues.

For the record, I think AJ *is* an idiot, both for the T-Will situation and the way he coaches. And all Williams has done is vent his frustration AWAY from the team.

If you can't post without insulting fellow members... Then maybe you shouldn't post.

And yes, I think it's absurd for people to want a kid to sit on the bench and just be happy collecting a paycheck. Would it make you people happy if we signed Eddy Curry, then? Cause I guarantee you won't hear a peep out of him with regards to playing time.

true but i think he just wants to feel like he's part of the team. After the win in Portland he tweeted about how great it was to be at .500 and how we had to keep pushing.

He's young and frustrated, i like his game and want him in a rockets uni, even if i'm in the minority.

I guess you missed the "work hard" bit, T-Will is not even playing to his strengths when he gets on the court; instead of all this childish tweeting about jumping off bridges he might want to work harder on his game and gain the coach's trust.

If you can't read or see things from a different angle... Then maybe you shouldn't post.
