Considering how poorly Martin shot, and given 4 games in 5 nights, it was actually pretty surprising we only lost by 3. If Martin had his average game, this would be a 5 point win.
Between the Rox, Texans & Astros all Houston has to offer are "moral" victories! Boy, I miss contending. Sigh.
Lowry needs to be limited to 2 pump fakes a game. He tries to draw the foul way too much and it never works, but you have to take the good with the bad. Horrible final play. Budinger should've got the ball sooner.
4th game in 5 days with new guys in the lineup. Winning 3 out of 4 ain't bad. now 3 days off to practice& get the new guysmore orientated to the system. I'm excited to see what this post trade deadline Rockets can do. I like the play so far!
Last play by Lowry has definitely taken the attention off Kevin Martin throwing up bricks all over the court tonight.
for real. it's getting hard to read this forum because everyone is so negative. not everything is going to go perfectly every game, jesus christ.
Lowry wasn't the problem. The frontline was clearly fatigued -- Scola was very hesitant from mid-range and not as aggressive on the offensive end of the floor, and Hayes was completely out of sync on both ends of the floor. He really struggled with Griffin early in the 1st half. Miller dropped a 3-ball and got to the line in the 2nd half, but Kaman took him to the shed and just beat him mercilessly. Miller's defensive ineptness had a far greater impact on the game than his masterful execution of Adelman's offense.
Everything that could possibly go wrong this game did,but yet they came within a bucket and a missed free throw of winning it. They've got to completely forget about this game and put a good game together against the Pacers!
Adelman did fine, aside from even letting Miller dress. I'm interested to know what Miller's +/- was tonight.
don't like to make excuses but there seemed to be lots, i mean LOTS of questionable calls in the favor of the clippers tonight. if it was just a few then i'd understand that is human error, but i'm talking missed calls where players come from out of bounds, blatant travels, numerous over the backs, and non calls on foul shots that have been called all year long for us. that being said, eric gordon and the pick/roll killed us tonight as it broke down our defense time and time again. kaman seemed VERY unhappy that he was taken out at the end. He was also an X-factor for them that brought them back from their early deficit. He destroyed Miller with his "speed". bad decision by adelman with that matchup. Clippers announcers were on the whole very good. I'm not going to hope for any playoffs after a game like this. Let's just enjoy the rest of the games and focus on player development.
2009-2010 Aaron Brooks. He did fine but he's too trigger happy now, comeback wouldn't have been possible without that 3 with 24 seconds to go so meh.
