Not even if Lowry develops into a 14 ppg, 7 apg, 4 rpg PG? Who plays top-notch defense? That'd be exactly what I'd want if I was Howard.. but then again if Williams is available and Lowry is good enough then by all means make Lowry the main trade piece in a trade for Williams
Williams is 20-10 and a closer. There is a huge gap the numbers cant justify. Just like this summer when people were wondering why the knicks would want 23-8 amare vs 20-10 lee. Well, we see why. When u have a top tier talent, teams prepare differently. Williams is a guy teams prepare for and he tilts the floor. Not only that, other superstar players see him as a game changer and superstar caliber player.
Howard needs another superstar, and the pg is really the only spot where anyone is coming loose next year with him, 2 of them in fact. If Orlando accept they cant keep or win with Dwight, he'll come loose mid next year too, and they won't trade him to the east or the Lakers (lol Shaq), so basically there will be 14 teams in the game for Dwight.
