My comment was based on the premise that I doubt Hathaway/Franco were the Oscars first choice to host the show. In an ideal world, Crystal would always host... but he doesn't want to. Same for a number of entertainers who likely would pass on the chance to host. There should be at least one entertainer out there who both actually wants to host AND can pull it off well. And it would have to be somebody who is doing it more because they would be a great host, and less to boost their career or capitalize on their current popularity. Jason Alexander comes to mind as somebody who would be a good host... and he's got enough talent to pull off the musical numbers. I don't know how well liked he is in the biz though.
From an idiot who have no taste in movies and cry to Braveheart. What a sissy. <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/4UBEYVd3OKk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
From a crybaby who whines about midgets in tights and wizards in pointy hats, I'll take that as a compliment.
You failed SUGAR t***. Where did I whine about LOTR? So why are you avoiding dandorotik question what is your top 10 movies? Afraid to show people what a pathetic taste in movies you have? Damn sassy.
You made the argument that Braveheart appealed to you because of its themes of freedom from oppression and what not. LOTR has that and more. The books and movies were based on the camaraderie of soldiers serving in the trenches of WWI and it deals with themes like: how power corrupts people, destiny vs. free will, how coming home makes one realize how much war changes you, small people can do great things, and that sometimes you have to fight regardless of how much of a pacifist you are. I'm sure there are others but those immediately spring to my mind. As far as the age argument, my great-grandfather, grandfather, and father think highly of LOTR, particularly my GGF since movies didn't have sound or colour when he fell in love with cinema. You should read the books, and give the films another chance.
Did anybody watch the Jimmy Kimmel after the Academy Awards show? <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/CKekcHMiVVg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I'm having a hard time believing that is Scarlett; looks like a very slutty version of her but hey why am I complaining?!
