Same can be said about Apple love. One press release sends all the coffee shop hip bloggers into a frenzy of speculation. That to me is a bit more Pavlovian.
Their products are superior also. When Steve Jobs held up the first iPad and called it a breakthrough product, I thought he was fooling himself. But truly he knew what he created and people loved it. Marketing only helps so much; companies have to deliver on the hype. I still don't understand why the iPad is so popular and why Apple believes tablets will end up a bigger market than PCs + laptops. To each his own. I'll buy a tablet when the price goes down to $200-$250 or if my income goes way up.
No doubt Apple "fanboys" started the back-and-forth spitting matches in the past. I found it tiresome like everyone else. But it's to the point Apple-haters are far worse trolls than Apple-lovers. If someone likes Apple's products, so be it. They should be able to discuss their products without each and every thread being nuked by a few jerks who have serious issues.
look at you responding, like a dog wagging it's tail, LOL serious question though, is it possible for someone to be satisfied with an apple product and not be an "apple lover?"
Learn your Pavlov...It was a dog salivating not tail wagging. And to answer your silly question, yes it is possible. I used an MacBook through my last 2 years of college, own an iPod touch, and currently in the process of buying a Mac Pro for the photo dweeb in the office...but my beef with them goes beyond product, and in to what I believe is a non-ethical business standard they apply.
Unless Apple decides to do something that completely pisses off the big developers, Android's app market will never touch Apple's anytime soon. All I hear is how they are growing like crazy and it's getting smaller everyday etc. but having switched from an iPhone to a Nexus S, it still is not close. I highly doubt Android has 50,000+ apps optimized for tablets within a year like the iPad has done.
Because back then I kept hearing that they will somehow implement Flash either through Jailbreak or other means. You even hear cool things about dual booting it with Android or other OS on it but that became more difficult than they thought.
You have a very good point, however I feel though certain applications like Flash are a must with tablets. It really depends on what you're using it for I suppose. I'd give the ipad a shot, i don't hate Apple I just don't like having so many restrictions.
Then Donny? I'm probably more stupider. But I didn't buy a first generation ipad from a company whose products I hate when the most publicized glaring weakness in that product was one that was important to me on the faith that it would be fixed later. Oh well.
I don't care who likes what product and who doesn't, but coming into a thread where people are discussing a product launch to let everyone know that you hate the company and despise the products they make and the people that buy them... man I don't know how to tell you how petty that comes off. Maybe someone should just start an Apple Hate thread so the people that feel that way can have somewhere to release their tension. I hate to see them have to bottle it up like this, only to release it on everyone trying to have a normal discussion, just to keep from having an aneurism.
Flash is not garbage. It still have it many purpose. HTML5 is like 5 years away and good luck with that. Why is it so hard to give people to have a Flash apps until HTML5 arrive? Just give people they choice to use it or don't use it(turn it on or off). Steve Jobs is just full of **** about battery life. One is call Frash(needs major work) and the other is a browser call Skyfire which only work for video. Both are not really Flash experience.
Hypocrite much? Everyone does it either it's a thread about food, movies, girls, Charlie Sheen ect... Seems to me when it comes to Apple some people gets so defensive like Apple is untouchable.
How does my statement make me a hypocrite? Never mind. Thanks for your input. Duly noted. You guys need a better hobby.
I really think Adobe (in regards to Flash) has done more to prove Jobs right than wrong. They can't get a solid, universal Flash player out to cover the majority of Android phones, and I think as I understand it the XOOM it won't even launch with Flash, with Adobe promising to deliver it 'within a few weeks'. I really think the App Store and the Android Market will do much to alleviate any concerns over Flash. Out of curiosity, what do you use as a tablet currently? I'm interested in what you are doing now on a tablet that makes you consider Flash a must for them. Yup. Though cutting down on trolling hasn't been focused on much on the board lately, unfortunately.
A quick click on the number of replies tells me that cowboy and stache are tied for most replies in this thread right now (6 each). That sums up the typical Apple thread - normal tech discussion and a small percentage of trollers who end up contributing the most.
