Do you think Josh Smith could fit with the Rockets and fill our defensive void?

Tall Dumb Guy to add: Yi Jianlian

Would you guys be open to trying to acquire Yi? He's available in a few months. Maybe we can sign him and let him run the court along with Thabeet and see what they can do?

Yi should try his luck in the Euroleague.

i could def see this happening as a pure market ploy... yao's gone, bring in yi to keep chinese fans hooked... as long as we didnt actually have to play him..

With Hill and Thabeet already on the team, I think the front line now has a sufficiently high height-to-clue ratio without adding Yi.

Yi is Chinese, therefore he generates billions of money and would never be traded and teams would never let him go.

nah...i had high hopes for him when he first came into the league cause he has a far superior physical gift than yao. If he really work hard, I thought he could be a dirk type player with a bit more speed and hops.

the guy is just plain stupid, no work ethic and for some reason, he has a confidence issue too.

    so to answer your question....NO!!!!!!

He's not a center (though he can play it). He's pretty mobile and can actually play SF and has some range though a bit streaky. I would like to try him out.

Either he is really stupid or he still has communication problems, he didn't stick with his translator as long as Yao did. He is totally lost on the court and doesn't seem to understand any Xs and Os in an NBA Playbook.

You don't see Wizards, Nets or Bucks fans complaint about his work ethic, he is not that kind of lazy player.

If he can be acquired real cheap, I will give him a chance in this squad and have Yao tutored him Rockets game plans. It will be easier for him as the communication gaps will be eliminated. If he still looked lost given Yao's assistance, you can put him into the same category as Stromile Swift.

Yi is another David Thorpe guy. But unless he's a dominant center, we would need to give up one of our PFs. Spot is too crowded.

Funny I traded for him & Danny Granger on NBA2K11, he is on the inactive reserve spot.

In reality if he come cheap, give him a go.
