    They rate it at how close you get there with out winning. The only team that was close was the Cavs a few seasons ago, and the Indians back in 97.

    I'm surprised at how good this list this is. Cleveland immediately comes to mind but I would not have thought of Seattle, Phoenix or Atlanta as their teams have been successful (at times) but they stink once they get to the postseason. Which brings up another question?

    Would you rather have your team win it all and then stink for 20 years straight OR

    Would you rather them be consistently great year-after-year but they can't get over the hump and they never win it all.

    Tom still thinks Yastrzemski plays for the Red Sox and Wendy will root for any team that's winning.

    In other words, they don't count as real fans.

    The latter. The former just breeds apathy and bandwagoners.

    And I think if a city loses a team they should shoot a lot higher up this list.

    I call foul. Jordan was a bull and back to old form during our second ring. Not our fault he couldn't make it there to award it to us.

    That's how they measured it. They measured it about being so damn close, but so far away. Atlanta had those teams in the 90s that won all those division titles, but came away with one World Series. The Hawks were somewhat decent in the early to mid 90s. In fact, if I recall, they were the top seed in the east in 1994 I think.

    No kidding. The loss of Grant was why he was in the Finals and Jordan wasn't. Also factor in that San Antonio had the best record that year and Dennis Rodman was their 2nd best player.

    It pissed me off to no end when San Antonio traded him to the damn Bulls. I still feel deep down that Stern made a deal with them. They did get Duncan after all, and a few championships to boot for the trade, didn't they?

    rodman was averaging 17 rebounds a game in 93-94.

    How hard is it for these so-called sports writers to understand?

    (Rodman was a beast- he should be in the HOF)
