Looks like he will be signed by the Knicks now.......I never understood why the Rockets at least didn't let him play as a rotational player. By most accounts he is a great defensive player and obviously that is the one thing that the rockets currently suck at........

Because he's nowhere near Scola, Hayes, and Patterson, Hill has more potential, and even Miller can do a lot with facilitating an offense. You can argue he should be playing over Miller, but as Miller's more familiar with Adelman, and Jeffries can't play C, there was no real use for him.

He sucks. He's a mediocre rebounder and can't hit a layup to save his life. He is overrated on defense, too. Sure, he can draw a charge and guard some smaller players, but he is far from a lockdown defender.

In short, he is no ChuckWagon.

They were too busy with the Jordan Hill experiment, of course. Chuck and Scola were in the 1st squad while Hill was paired up with Miller to supposedly balance offense and defense inside.

Jeffries must have been a nice player back in the day...won 2000 Indiana Mr. Basketball over Zach Randolph, went 11th in the draft...What hell happened?

All season long, folks were yelling for the younger players to get more minutes. With Jeffries a 3 position player, if he'd been in the regular rotation, we would have seen the young guys even less. He was always about his expiring contract. What shocks me more than a little is that Morey was unable to include his contract in a deal, he's then waived with little decrease in our cap (from what I recall hearing), and he then goes back to New York. This has been a very strange several months, to put it mildly.

    What should I do?

"I don't know what I'm supposed to do with him."

Somebody should make a Lebron-style "What should I do?" commercial with Adelman asking Morey what he should do with Thabeet.

By the way, didn't JVG say the same thing about Spanoulis-- that the coach doesn't know what to do with him?

Add in overpaid and that's a perfect description of a certain someone who the Rockets just shipped back to his original NBA home.

rockets should sign corey brewer. signing cory brewer = defense at the small forward position. seriously corey brewer is a ruich man's version of jared jefferies, and is younger.

He had one good NCAA tournament and Isiah Thomas's dumbass threw a huge contract at him.

Truth is, he sucked balls then and he sucks balls now. He has no place on an NBA team, and this is coming from a fan that is a big supporter of situational defensive specialists. He's GARBAGE!
