As a long time member of the board I have had a tragic reversal of health. I had a stroke after Caratoid artery surgery. I lost sight in one eye and partial paralysis of right side though by right hand is coming back. I normally type 100wpm. This is taking about thirty minutes. I thank God that I am still alive, it could be much worse, but I have much to overcome. Probably won't be posting as much; still love the Rockets. For those who pray; pray for me. I am a Christian. I believe in healing. I will do my best to come back for my family and friends.
You got it buddy. I am so sorry to hear about this! Will definitely uplift you in prayer. Strokes are very personal to me as I have had family members affected by them. Very, very scary stuff - get well soon, solid.
Thoughts and prayers for your speedy recovery, and hopefully you get some kind of bonus out of it all. Let me know if there's anything I can do.
My God man, I'm really sorry to hear about that and pray for a recovery for you. Just try and stay positive man.
Very sorry to hear that. I presume they got you to the hospital within the golden hour? I've seen people recover from strokes and from what I have seen it is tough but there are a lot of treatments and therapies out there. Wish you the best of luck in your recovery.
My dad had the carotid artery surgery a number of years ago and one of the fears of that surgery was the possibility of a stroke. As a matter of fact, they kept him awake during the surgery so that the nurse could continually ask him questions so they know he didn't stroke out. My thoughts and prayers are with you - Godspeed.
