yeah brah UT sucks BAWAHAHAHAHAHA theyre worse than that drunkard baseball coach of theirs LOLs RICE > UT
wow, can't believe they lost. Kansas St. is a must win game Monday. Seriously reminds me of last year's collapse.
WOW, that was an awesome game, I can't believe we almost left at halftime a lot of the UT fans were being real douchebags, and then with a minute left in the game, they all started storming out
Fell to #7 in the AP and #8 in the Coaches. Also, Lunardi predictably dropped UT to a #2 seed in the New Orleans regional. A big win tonight could go a long way in getting back to a #1 seed. K-St has been playing well of late and looks to be a lock as an at-large. Could be worse, though. Could be 12-16 (4-10 in a weak conference) and totally irrelevant in their own city.
I'm begging you....lose on Saturday. Rest your starters. Please. They're tired. They need some rest. Don't be selfish.
I don't think it's anything like last year. This team's problem seems to be boredom. They are dominating every 1st half, which means they know HOW to play well. They just choose not to do it. Last year's team just had no idea how to play like a team. I think it was a totally different problem that was much easier to fix. Texas basically needs to win out to get a #1 seed now, which unfortunately means beating Kansas again. Duke & Pitt losing definitely helped their cause. One of Pitt or ND, and OSU or Purdue have to lose, so Texas will have the opportunity to get back up there.
Agree 100%. These guys play well together. They've shown a tendency to start going through the motions. As for Saturday's loss, they quit attacking the basket in the second half. I blame that on the coaching staff.
Damnit... Texas plays 30 seconds of good defense every single time, and then waver a little bit, which gives KSU a good look.
From the last loss, UT lost their chance at #1 right? What does a loss tonight mean for UT? ...besides losing to an un ranked team at home. I haven't been following college ball too much, big 12 title at stake? LOL....pressure D fail....slam.
I just don't get it. They always come out in the second half and play differently. They always play good in the first, but it's like at the half Barnes says, "Okay, now lets play like this." Nobody is moving without the ball, just standing around. Guards running inside and settling for high teardrop shots that don't go down. Defense gets to excited near the end of the shot clock and always leaves someone open. I just don't get it, I think it is on Barnes, whatever they are doing differently, he needs to fix. And he isn't doing that.
I don't want to say losing is good but I'd rather have us go through some tough games now, instead of having them in the ncaa tourney. We are probably #2 seed unless we win out in the big12 championship Spoiler inb4 UT SUCKS BRAH BAWAHAHAHAH I TOLD U WHEN I SAW THEM PLAY RICE THEY WERENT THEY GOOD
K-State simply owns the UT-Austin branch athletic department. Football, basketball, baseball -- all the big sports. UT-Austin branch just got hot for a while, now they're showing their true capabilities, or lack thereof. They were clearly overrated.
bigtexxx, I'm worried about you. I know you don't like "T-shirt fans", and, given your new love for all things K-State, this puts you at high risk of hypopcrisy. As such, I've taken the liberty of providing a great service, a link to the K-State prospective graduate student website. http://www.k-state.edu/grad/gsprospective/index.htm In fact, you can become a K-State graduate with programs like this one without ever missing the opportunity to make a post when UT loses an athletic competition!
Texas had an 50/50 shot at a #1 seed before yesterday if they won out. With yesterday's loss, they almost definitely are out unless a LOT of different teams start losing. Before, there were probably 5 teams ahead of them (Duke, BYU, Kansas, Pitt, OSU). Now, you have to add Purdue and Notre Dame at the very minimum, and those first 4 have an even larger cushion. So that's pretty much done. Kansas now controls the B12 Title outright as well. Texas could grab a share if Kansas loses at Mizzou (or A&M at home) while Texas beats Baylor on Saturday, but it's a longshot at this point given how well Kansas has been playing. Texas is probably a #2 seed now, or a 3 if they lose to Baylor and flame out early in the B12 Tourney.
