i think its hard to even make a case that any contender that signs him is a better overall team.

maybe in certain matchups, his shooting could exploit weak defenses they were already going to dismantle, but he has never been one to afford energy defensively and as his scoring ability diminishes, coaches must be very wary having him playing any minutes against some of the athletic pg's, even back up pg's, that playoff teams will pit him against and that will run circles around him.

Pretty shocking considering next years uncertainty.

I can definitely see him going to Miami. He's pretty ideal for them at PG.

Yeah Miami is his best bet. Boston should be better due to his age (less pressure).

Atlanta is probably where his home currently is.

Should be interesting. Always been a fan of Bibby.

8 years ago Bibby was destroying the prime Lakers.

I'm sure a lot of teams could use him off the bench. He is a pretty decent 3 point shooter, any team could use that.

    He also has veteran experience.

Is it that bad in DC?

He has only been a good 3 point shooter this season, I imagine he'll get a job but I don't think there will be a bidding war for him.

I think he'll help as long as he's off the bench and not matched up against the quicker starting PG's. He's shooting quite well from 3 this year

Cant see him in a Boston Jersey, even though I believe that would be the best place for him to go.

It makes sense for him to give up next years salary as the lockout probably negates most of that money anyway.

I would guess he ends up in Miami.

Mike Bibby is pathetic. The best he can do is get spot minutes and maybe hit a big shot near the end of a game. He might be a decent spot up shooter for the Heat but he's a huge liability on defense.

Seriously? its not even a debate, he'll go to Miami and launch uncontested threes.

Correct, but he is an upgrade for them in other areas.
Plus having another spot up shooter can never be too bad, and a player who can help them out when Lebron and Wade are having issues setting up plays.
They are very close to getting both Bibby and Murphy, which will help them out

Parker has been declared out 2-4 weeks, wonder if the Spurs would make a run at Bibby

Now that the Hawks actually have somebody capable of playing defense at the point I'd take Bibby back in a reserve role.
