dragic is a career backup, ab is a starter whose confidence was slipping, phoenix acquired ab as someone to replace nash, houston acquired dragic as a perma backup and took a draft pick to balance the value.

Dragic can do everything AB can do except, you know, be good. He'll never start for any team.

I think Morey's moves were lateral moves more than anything. But AB is still better than the kid from Phoenix. Talent wise we're still the worst team in the NBA, so what does that say about Morey

As much as I'd love that I don't think we'll ever seen Thabeet dunking from the free throw line...

Morey traded Battier was so underatedly awesome financial/team wise. Everyone is a scoring threat on the court is a legit scoring threat when it comes to facing up and making a dribbling basketball move to attack the basket. Everyone except Chuck but Chuck has been scoring well for Chuck this year which is improvement. Battier was not improving offensively. Adding Dragic seems good but we will see over time. Hasheem Thabeet has Hakeem Olajuwon and Deke to work with on a consistent basis i believe he will get better plus C.D. and the Rockets staff. Your talking about the #1 and #2 guys All-Time in the NBA for blocked shots.

    Wait, who are you?

OP needs to learn about paragraphs, sentence structure, and grammar.

Why would Mutombo work with him? Does he even have a home in Houston?

Well, in his defense, his signature does say there should be no positive talk until we are .500, so maybe getting this close is frying his circuits.

Morey did what he could. It doesn't fix the problems, but hopefully it at least keeps them competitive and entertaining (so far so good) until we can untangle the knot, and leaves us in a better position when we get there.

Why do people keep saying this? I have not seen any reports that they have or are planning to work with Thabeet. Did I miss something?

Thabeet has been working with Hakeem since he was in high school.

Mutombo loves doing charity work in Africa. There is no bigger African charity case than Hasheem Thabeet.

If Thabeet's career works out, that money he earns is gonna provide food, shelter and medical care to a large number of Africans (or at least to one very large African).

IT's not a fluke that rockets are on a 5 game winning streak. ANd The competition wasn't terrible either. SEriously, battier's minutes were replaced by bbetter deserving players. He just had all the players inlove with him since he was so fun to be around and such a caring and friendly guy that adelman had to play him 30+minutes every game. And he didn't really bring much to the table on the basketball court to be honest. NOw Lee and Budinger get more minutes and they're playing great.
