There are so many misconceptions around the league and other teams' fans about the Rox. Whether it is by an opposing announcer or espn's media machine, I feel like a lot of times these "experts" don't know what they're talking about.

For example this is from the Hornet's true-hoop site:
"They don’t have one player on their team, bench included, that is considered an above average defender for their position, and it might be a stretch to say they even have one average defender."

LOL. Hayes who shuts down Amare, Griffin, Aldridge, and most of the elite PF in this league? Lee who is a great defender against the likes of Ellis, D Wil, etc? Lowry who just pestered CP3 into a bad offensive night? T-Will? Dragic? Sure we may not be a stellar defensive team due to the fact that we lost our anchor in Yao, but come on... not one average defender? How would Orlando's defense look like without Dwight?

What are some of the more absurd things that you guys have seen/read regarding the Rox?

Here's to Rockets awareness and edumacating these blasphemers.

JVG will root for the Rockets even if their whole starting line gets injured.

I remember one of the announcers saying that Scola was one of the best European players. Apparently, Argentina is now somewhere in Europe.

You can't blame them for thinking that. Our defense has been terrible this year.

Ha, and we've just been spoiled by having Bill (and Clyde-ish), who are the best commentators in the NBA. The duo of Bill and Clyde, IMO, always give credit when it's due and are fairly knowledgeable of other players and other teams unlike certain commentators on certain teams....*cough New Orleans *cough Memphis...

LOL! Lowry and Chuck Hayes arent above average? Twill could be considered one and Patterson if they got more playing time eventually.

In a perfect world, our announcers would be:

    JVG, Mark Jackson, Shane Battier.

    game over.

Mark Jackson is a NBA spokesman, he protects the NBA (protect his job) at all cost even when a awful call have been made and is a hype machine with the stars, worse than ESPN especially with Kobe.

I don't like him at all.

Exactly. You'll never hear him say a negative thing about the league. He's one of the worst in the business.
