i like the lineup... some good acts. and although i find the weezer headliner a little odd for summer fest, it's a helluva lot better than the flaming lips.

Black Congress and Co-Pilot will be the two best irrelevant and overrated performances of the weekend.

By the End of Tonight is reuniting to play a benefit show (of sorts).

All proceeds go to the purchasing of new equipment for everyone involved.

I saw that they were on the list and was wondering what that was all about.

I heard that some other people got stuff stolen during that incident but didnt know who. Good to know this. Will contribute.

We weren't watching the same thing then. 90% of their set was their new music which sounds like a cat in a blender put through distortion. Horrible.

I saw them pre-Embryonic and it was a great show. That new music is so terrible. It literally seemed like it would never stop. Sooooo bad.

In the press release they list Girls as one of the acts playing but they aren't on the list. If they are playing I definitely want to go.

I would love to go this year but I'll be on my way to Barcelona that same weekend.

I missed it last year because I promised my cousin I'd go to NOLA with him.

Do they have room to add another big stage? Things seemed a bit cramped already last year.

I love the location and how you can easily see the skyline, and I like having the hill and stuff, I just wished last year that there was more land there. They already had a bit of soundbleed between the two ampitheater style stages they had.

Any rumors on who these TBA "super famous" electronic artists in the Dancey Pants tent will be? Theyre really hyping it up and its $240 bucks with free food/drink compared to the $30 for GA. deadmau5 better be there letting people sign his LED helmet for that price differential haha

This Austin-based blogger seems to think something really big is brewing, and implying that it could rival ACL... just seems like heresy considering where he's from.

"The only headliners that haven’t been released are said to be pre-tty big and will be announced soon..ish (can’t give everything away at once!). I have a feeling that this could be better than ACL, depending on the kind of music you like."

Thats kind of expensive as ****.

I'm curious as to who they would consider "big".

If it was 100 dollars or something, I'd seriously consider it. But 240 is kind of ridiculous. How big of a crowd is even going to be there at that stage?

Not to mention theres a good chance whoever is in the dance tent will be playing at the same time as someone good on the main stage. Maybe even the same time as the headliners (If they are smart, they'd have them go on after the headliners).

I want to tell myself I'd do it if they pulled in someone awesome to that stage, but its just way too much money.

Well, it does say complimentary bar (alcoholic?) beverages. Beers usually go for like 7-8 bucks a pop at these festivals. So if you're chugging these throughout the day, that can really set you back a few bucks. I probably spent a couple hundred bucks on drinks alone at ACL last year, although that was over 3 days.

That would be nice, but I'm under 21 so it wouldn't make much of a difference to me.

If they have some amazing electronic line-up I can't pass up (which I very seriously doubt) and it doesnt conflict much with the other acts (Which I also doubt) I might upgrade when I get there (I was told theres onsite upgrading)

    Its still way overpriced though
