I think Carrie was the better movie
and in a fight .. I think being deranged and insane helps
    so she would also win

cool thread. loved both movies.

carrie would "plug her up". it's almost like saying who would win between an unstable jean grey and pyro. seriously... if you had a eff'ed up mom that locked you in a closet with a creeped out beyond belief light-up jesus figurine, you could do some really eff'ed up schit.

in any event, carrie would make quick work of drew barrymore and then off herself because she acted in an unchristian-like way.

I thought Carrie was corny as heck horror-wise, but probably the most realistic teen movie I've ever seen.

Exactly! The instability caused by the substance abuse was really my determining factor:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firestarter#Rebellious_era

[rquoter]In the wake of [having her father ruthlessly murdered by General George S. Patton], [Firestarter] endured a notoriously troubled childhood. She was already a regular at the famed Studio 54 when she was a little girl, smoking cigarettes at age nine, drinking alcohol by the time she was 11, smoking mar1juana at 12, and snorting cocaine at 13. Her nightlife and constant partying became a popular subject with the media. She was in rehab at age 13. A suicide attempt at age 14 put her back in rehab, followed by a three-month stay with singer David Crosby and his wife.[/rquoter]

Firestarter was, and I don't use this term lightly, a wunderkind. Dancing the night away at Studio 54, blowing up the pipe that caught Richard Pryor's hair on fire.

A coked out Firestarter dealing with the troubles of adolescence? Firestarter, no contest. Not even David Crosby could mellow out that kind of harsh.

Carrie was the ultimate late bloomer, an also ran to the starting fires with one's mental telepathy bloodsport. (I mean, getting her first period, then freaking the f--- out about it, just before attending junior prom?) By Carrie's age, Firestarter had already had breast reduction surgery. [rquoter]She also underwent breast reduction surgery in 1992.

"When they're huge, you become very self-conscious. Your back hurts. You find that whatever you wear, you look heavy in. It's uncomfortable."[/rquoter]
Pfft. Firestarter all the way. No competition at all.

Well, I think the grilled cheese sandwich - in a fair fight. But if it was prison rules, I'd put my money on the taco.

Carrie wasn't deranged. They pushed her over the edge man. Then she was like a ***** please, and knives started flying.
