    I'd say:
    1. Lakers- Kobe Bryant
    2. Thunder- Kevin Durant
    3. Hornets- Chris Paul
    4. Spurs- Tim Duncan
    5. Mavericks- Dirk Nowitzki
    6. Clippers- Blake Griffin
    7. Timberwolves- Kevin Love
    8. Suns- Steve Nash
    9. Blazers- Brandon Roy
    10. Kings- Tyrke Evans
    11. Warriors- Monta Ellis
    12. Grizzlies- Zach Randolph
    13. Jazz- Paul Millsap
    14. Rockets- Kevin Martin
    15. Nuggets- Nene

When comparing to second best players:
    1. Thunder- Russell Westbrook
    2. Lakers- Pau Gasol
    3. Blazers- LaMarcus Alderidge
    4. Warriors- Steph Curry
    5. Mavericks- Jason Kidd
    6. Spurs- Manu Ginobilli
    7. Clippers- Eric Gordon
    8. Hornets- David West
    9. Rockets- Kevin Martin
    10. Grizzlies- Rudy Gay or Marc Gasol (either could go here)
    11. Jazz- Andrei Kirilenko or Al Jefferson or Devin Harris
    12. Timberwolves- Michael Beasley
    13. Suns- Grant Hill
    14. Nuggets- Danilo Galinari
    15. Kings- Nobody

Yeah right on, because having a supporting cast of Gasol, Odom, Bynum, Artest must be really insignificant...

The best player on the best team is not necessarily the best player in the league (conference).

The guy picked Gay as the best Grizzlies player?!?! And then proceeded to put him 8th overall?

If you didn't notice with the exception of griffin I put all the playoff team at the top and picked the best player on each team. Maybe Zach is better than gay, but this board seriously hates gay.

i'd put Martin above Nene, Millsap, Monta (it's not all about stats--I think any GM would rather have Kevin Martin than Monta)

I don't think its hate for Gay, Z-Bo is better and it isn't even close. Even Gasol or Conley are debatable.

Furthermore, do you seriously think that Cousins is currently the best player on the Kings? Even their head coach disagrees with that.

Regardless of the placement of the rest of the list, martin is well down the list of top players and down the list for most teams second best player. Most of those players are not near as one dimensional a he is either. Thats our problem.

    Forgot Portland had Gerald Wallace.

Wow they are really stacked now.

    2 young All-Stars (Roy/Wallace) and a guy who should've been an All-Star (Alderidge).

Gay is a more versatile player, not as good at drawing fouls offensively as martin but he's a better defender, rebounder and is more clutch in pressure situations.

    They both suck on D.

Martin is a better shooter and much more efficient overall scorer.

    I'd take Martin.

I'd put Martin slightly ahead of Evans for now. He's about par with Randolph and Ellis, which also coincides with where they're at as far as the standings.

Yeah I had trouble with those two also. Martin is slighty better than Evans.
