So in other words we're now starting the least motivated player on the squad at the 3?

I personally think he does think the above and that he doesn't want to just put up stats, but rather play in the way that helps his team have the highest possible chance of winning.

    When will you people understand?

Players who were in the rotation at a position Twill can play..

    Martin
    Brooks
    Lee
    Budinger
    Battier

Battier and Brooks got traded. He's not better than Martin, or leee. Bud?

    Maybe, maybe no.

If Twill can't outplayed someone enough to get on the court , then he doesn't deserve it.

Football coach Vince Lombardi put it well, "The will to win is not nearly so important as the will to prepare to win."

This is his problem. He doesn't see why he has to go through all the training, why he has to do all the things the coaches want him to do, and why he has to wait until they think he is ready. He thinks he is ready. The fact that the coaches don't agree doesn't matter to him, nor that he will make it sooner or later if he just does what he needs to do.

I am 90% sure that, if he doesn't make it, it won't be for lack of talent. I have little faith in him.

Whatever the case may be, I'd prefer to see him play a few games before I leap to conclusions about why Williams hasn't set the world on fire just yet.

I had a lot more faith in him when he was going to have to earn his minutes. At least then, he had a reasonable shot at developing some discipline.

I believe in his talent. I suspect he will never rise above being a knucklehead. Keep in mind that, the whole time he has been tweeting, his agent has assuredly been telling him to shut up. And this is after NJ sent him to the D-league, then traded him.

Charles Barkley rose above spitting at little girls in the stands, so there's hope for this guy.

The Chuckster never spit AT little girls. He spit at a guy that was heckling him, he happened to hit a little girl and apologized for it.

So you want to ditch Adelman's highly respected, proven and successful offensive system for an iso-happy one without ball movement? With a roster full of players who can't create their own shot? Just to give our backup SF a chance to maybe develop?

    Sounds good, lets do it.

Offense looked good tonight . Learn to fit in TWill and you'll do OK. Make the most of every chance and practice hard.

TWill is and always will be a worse player than Lee and Bud. I'd rather play good young players and let them develop.

To me, you're making my point. T-Will has more talent than Bud, and should be battling Lee to show that he's better.

As for Barkley spitting on the girl: whether he was aiming for the girl or not, this was a turning point for him. He has mentioned in interviews that that incident made him wonder what the hell he was doing with that kind of behavior.

The Rockets have had some good perimeter defenders this year: Battier, Lowry and Lee. Even when these guys are playing solid defense, they've struggled on the defensive end due to a lack of size/athleticism in the paint-- giving up too many layups and offensive boards. Williams is not going to change that all by himself any more than Battier could.

regardless if we have the 5th ranked offense in the league, it doesn't seem to be translating into a playoff berth.
