I believe their issues are mainly in the back. They still have a solid midfield and some young talent coming in. They know they need to fortify the back four and Terry will need to be replaced before Lampard.

    You were close...

    ManU 3-1 over Aston Villa

Didn't know this until just now, but Michael Bradley was loaned to AV for the rest of the season. Good for him assuming he can get solid minutes there. Could be part of a larger move for him this summer. He still has a year left on his Borussia Moenchengladbach contract, but they're struggling and he wants bigger and better.

Man I would have preferred the move to Turkey or even Serie A or another German club for him. That Villa midfield is not going to be easy to crack(Not as if they are the greatest midfield in the world but they are keeping some solid players on the bench). From all indications Houllier is a big fan of MB and it wasn't as if the Villa ownership hoisted lil Bradley on him. I guess Houllier will give MB a fair chance to earn a spot in the middle.

I think this is a better move for him than Turkey or Serie A. The Turkish league is not better than Germany and he'd likely be on the bench in Serie A. If he can win a spot with AV and get significant playing time, I'd expect that he'll do well. His style fits the English game. I think he can have a greater impact than Landon did last season with Everton.

Meh, I figure Palermo would have been better. He'd have a similar chance to crack their midfield and contend for a place in Europe. Oh well. I'm sure he'll do well, the guy is a hard-working player and seems to turn various managers into fans of his ability. Good stuff.

I don't know how you go from defeating the best team in the world in Barcelona to losing to Birmingham.

Come on man. You make it sound like the lost to West Brom, Wigan or even a Champship side. Birmingham are better than their current position in the table and should be around midtable (if McLeish had better addressed their needs up front in the summer-Zigic is not it).

Anyway, always fun to watch Arsenal lose and see the Emirates stadium trophy cabinet gather dust.

They will win a trophy when Wenger actually fixes the center of their defense and gets a real player to partner Vermaelen instead of Koscielny/Squillaci.

I feel bad for the keeper Szczesny though. Great future for him but ***** happens.

We'll make up for that in the Champions League. Already up 2-0 on FC Copenhagen in the matchup. :)

We missed Vidic and Rio sorely today.
I have nothing to say about Nani.
Our lack of invention or anything from midfield today was horrendous.
    Horrible match.

I can't believe Arsenal blew that game against Sunderland.
