Yes, this coach need's to be fired. He was brought here to coach Yao and McGrady. Both of those players are gone, and so should be Rick Adelman..

I highly doubt this team would be playing at this level without Adelman. A Lott of people keep saying to fire Adelman but who is available that would be able to coach these guys? Please do not say JVG!

Under JVG this team would be better defensively by a small margin because we lack a true center and would be horrendous offensively. I actually hope Adelman is back next year

Nate McMillan! he will be available this off-season and his pretty good at developing talent!

We move Martin and Scola during the Draft for a high draft pick or young talent, and give Nate a young core to start from scratch and develop!

It's funny you mention Nate McMillan. In the playoffs 2 years ago, Portland fans were just absolutely blasting McMillan for getting pwned by Adelman. And were lamenting at how Houston has a "real coach" and they have a clown.

It's funny how grass is always greener on the other side.

You don't find superstars mysteriously on the bench. You can develop role players on the bench, but you know when you have a superstar.

Yea, I was about to say...

The same McMillan that lost to Rick Adelman's McGradyless team in the playoffs?

There are a few coaches better than Adelman. McMillan is not one of them.

So did Nash. And as to giving everyone minutes, that's the catch-22. You can't give EVERYONE minutes, but likewise if you don't give ANY minutes, then you'll never know. I'm all for mix ups in the rotations for us to experiment with our starters, since we're in lottery category.

Give TWill a start, Thabeet a start, eventually anyways.

Look at Budinger and Jermaine Taylor (who is starting now, incidentally)

Apparently Morey think Thabeet and TWill got potential...
I don't know why Rick won't give 5-10min of Bud's time to TWill and some Miller's time to Thabeet consistently every game to see if they can develop.
They could play badly or very good from game to game, but at least play them some every game...how else you ever going to know if they have potential.

"He was a very effective player in college. You don’t go second in the draft if you’re just a project. I mean, he was a very good player for Connecticut. What happened in Memphis, we helped comfortable after researching it that Hasheem was someone who could realize that potential that was seen in college, so it’s very similar to the Terrence Williams trade, in that, as we investigated the issues we felt that there was a good chance that a change of scenery could allow him to realize his potential – that’s how we feel about both of them."

Did it ever occur to you that he is playing well now because he got to ride the bench and watch, and practice, and develope an understanding for the offense and defensive rotations? A good player will always get rocognized by a good coaching staff but he has to shoe that he is not a liability out on the court first. You're also wrong that it was a coaching decision. Wallace was trade and he moved into the void out of necessity.

Well, look at this. Tyler Hansborough emergence. Budinger emerging. Greg Monroe emergence. Gerald Henderson emergence. Hell, even Randy Foye emerging.

Players need consistent PLAYING TIME to see what they're made of.

Actually you have it backwards, they're getting playing time because of what they've proven. You have a self-fulfilling prophecy going on here.

Go ask any coach in the NBA.

How do you make a thread in which you give an answer that is already implied.. Ah recognition and support, gotcha :)
