Well, our newest addition to the center position isn't gonna be playing in this game because apparently RA doesn't know what to do with him yet
I know it's just the Nets, who are playing with a new starting PG on the second night of a back-to-back, but it's still great to see the new-look Rockets get off to a fast start.
It's the fact that he's aggressively driving that's impressed me more than anything. That is very important.
We should, if we can't build onto the lead with 2nd unit, at least keep it even with 5 good defenders (Dragic,Lee,TWill,Patterson,Thabeet) and wait for starters to come back.
So you're doubting Thabeet to be 7 feet? In a couple of years he will be 7'4" if that is not legit enough for you.
Lets just hope we come out hot and put them away so Thabeet can play. Hopefully he could show enough in garbage mins and go from there.
Goran looked a little shaky, but he's learning Adelman's offense on the fly. He had a very nice left-handed finish at the rim in the open floor. He was aggressive and hustling on D... something Houston fans haven't seen out of a backup PG in quite some time. The Beat's been on the pine, and will likely stay there for the entirety of the 2nd half.
good first half... a little concerned as to what will happen when the shooting cools off and we keep giving up offensive rebounds... but hey, that's what cheering for this team is all about.
We dont have a facilitator for our 2nd unit before, that's why Miller was playing like a point center. Now AB is gone, we got Dragic and TWill who can make plays, Miller should retire and let Thabeet have a chance to learn our system.
I can't wait until after the season is over and Adelman is gone. Why Brad Miller is playing is beyond me.
Very happy with the first half. Even a little pleasantly surprised. I don't think I've ever seen Chase this comfortable and confident. Please don't let this game be a tease. I like what I saw from Terrence for the most part. Aggressive, finding open teammates, plays some defense. Pretty good. Shot too many threes, though. They weren't bad shots, but he's not a shooter, and I'm pretty sure he said that Coach told him to be more aggressive and get to the rim. Dragic's only had a cameo so far, but the kid is a little pit bull. Really doesn't seem scared of anyone at all. It's nice, but he will need to learn to temper that in the future. It's not always about how hard you play. Sometimes its about how smart you play. I'm loving 71 points in a half, but I'm still not happy with the overall defensive effort. A couple of guys are bringing it (Kyle, Terrence, and Goran in particular) but that's to be expected from them. 58 points in a half to the Nets is way too many.
