Got to love Lebron, plays PF the last few games, then plays PG the next game. Great win for the Heat, and good to see Bosh and Wade back.
Also, this game showed Durants weakness, as he struggles against phyiscal defenders. Lebron and Artest really give him fits.
Mike Miller is really make a difference for the Heat, and Eddie House is hitting some form. Miami is starting to show, they have a pretty decent bench, and will Haslem coming up, will be even better.
I think it's way too early to decide how they would match up against Boston in a playoff series. First, they haven't played Boston since early in the season when they were really struggling and the Celtics were killing everyone. Second, the two teams aren't on track to face off in the first round, so they would have other teams to worry about first. One of these teams is probably going to face Orlando in the second round and the other will likely play Chicago. Those will both be tough series and it's possible one of these teams will not even make it to the Conference finals where they would face off (if they finish first and second). Third, injuries could very well decide who would win a series. The Celtics haven't lost a series with Rondo-Allen-Pierce-KG-Perkins all healthy for seven games. Miami's best five will also be pretty formidable. But what are the odds that all five of the best players on both teams will be healthy if/when they meet in the playoffs?
dwayne wade literally was a ghost in the 2 games they faced so far earlier in the season when him and lebron were still struggling with one another. and the celtics barely pulled through both games. and wade usually KILLS the celtics. so i think you can't say that just yet. the heat offense, when the big 3 are all healthy, are improving game by game with efficiency. i think these 2 are the two best teams in the east and will determine the eastern finalist though
If he keeps this up, he will win MVP.. And people say, Durant is a better scorer then Lebron, lol. http://www.nba.com/2011/news/02/04/player-of-the-month/index.html?ls=iref:nbahpt2 NEW YORK -- The Miami Heat's LeBron James and the Memphis Grizzlies' Zach Randolph Friday were named the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Month presented by Kia Motors, respectively, for games played during January. James was the league's leading scorer at 30.6 ppg, while placing fifth in the East in steals (1.75 spg) and adding averages of 8.4 rebounds and 7.4 assists. He also logged the most minutes (40.6 mpg) in the conference in helping the Heat to a 9-5 record. On Jan. 9, he registered season highs with 44 points and 13 rebounds in a win over Portland. James scored 20-or-more points in all 12 games he played and was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week twice in January. Randolph finished third in the league in rebounds (14.2 rpg) and averaged 22.4 points to lead Memphis to 11 wins in January; the club's most wins in a calendar month since January 2005. He set a franchise record with a career-high 14 consecutive double-doubles and recorded his fourth and fifth 20-point, 20-rebound games of the season. Randolph won player of the week honors twice in January and is the first player in Grizzlies history to win a Player of the Month Award.
Lebron 14 points 4 rebs, 3 assists first quarter. Nice.. Cannot wait till Sunday but, Miami vs Celtics going to be huge, and the haters will be circling I would guess as well.
lebron still has another gear to go. and he will win MVP. he tried to give it away by joining up with wade/bosh but no one is good enough to take it from him.
Would that be so bad if he was? We have fans of other teams posting here. At least he keeps it in the Dish, which is the appropriate forum for non-Rockets NBA talk.
Lebron owns Pierce every time they play, so that's no surprise. How about if Wade actually turns up against the Celtics, or Mike Miller made those 3's that he always make.
I could just as easily say that Wade played like garbage (again) and the Heat still nearly won a game on the road with only two guys having a decent game. I think this game might have been really good for Bosh's confidence against KG, who has always owned him in the past. If these teams meet in the playoffs, right now I would give a slight edge to the Celtics, especially if they have home court advantage. But I still have the feeling that it's going to be tougher for them because of their age. If KG goes down with an injury again, they're not beating Miami.
