You haven't been watching the games have you. In the past 4 games, Shane has had 3 good ones.

Well, there is the whole "completely shutting down Granger" thing which is why we keep him around, you know.

The Shane Battier hate has been crazier this year because he has played worse than he ever has this year. Not hard to figure that out. He's never been a "stats" guy but this year even the eyeball test cannot redeem him. He's missing most of his wide wide open threes, lost a couple steps on defense, and still looks ridiculously awkward when trying to assert himself in other ways offensively. I'm a big Battier fan but either he needs to step his game up this year or make way for someone else who can. (Thankfully for him Budinger has also been stinking up the joint this year.)

    Mascara.

Seriously how can anyone who watches the Rockets question Shane's grit or toughness? And that red jacket?

This. It's pretty hard to lock anyone down, when half of the time you find yourself having to cover the defensive lapses of the new "big three" (Brooks, Martin, Scola)

Case in point, the early Spurs game. Plenty of people in the game thread were absolutely blasting Battier's D on Jefferson, while it should have been pretty obvious for anyone to see why he had to leave him open.

It's becoming more and more clear that we need some personnel changes (or Yao coming back as +30min player) for our defense to show any real tangible improvements.

Nice, glad to know we can expect a decent performance once every 8 games. Maybe we can lower the bar more for a guy who starts, plays close to 30 mpg, has the worse handles of any starting wing in the NBA, and makes over $7 mill a year.

I'd very much rather Shane handle the ball than that starting wing named Ariza...

You would rather have a guy who was outplayed by Matt Harpring in the playoffs, a bench player for the Jazz at the time who is no longer in the league, over the guy who stepped up in the playoffs and especially the Finals for the Lakers on their way to a championship? Wow!

You're one to talk about objectivity, lol. You claimed that you've criticized Battier before, but you've never shown anyone any post that belongs to you that is remotely critical of the guy you said you loved (homo or no homo? I don't know). I, on the other hand, call them like I see them. I give credit where credit is due and I'm critical when criticism is justified. That is the exact opposite of being a 'hater' and is much closer to being objective than you'll ever be.

Also, please tell me how anything I said in the post you quoted above is factually incorrect?

You tried to make it seem like Harpring was out of the league because he was that bad, when in reality he's out due to various injuries...you know how to word it perfectly, but it doesnt change the fact that you are willing to bend the truth to hate, whether its hate against a player or poster. When i said i "loved" battier it was to tick you off and you ran with it. Not surprised. I later said i was hating on you, again to tick you off, and you ran with it too, using it as your sig. You make a habit of taking things out of context to prove your points.

The homo comment is probably a new low for you though, but i guess that doesnt surprise me either.

So nothing I said was factually incorrect, thanks. You can interpret the facts anyway you want, but that doesn't change any of the facts, and the truth has never been bent by me.

You, on the other hand, claimed (in another thread) that you've criticized Battier, but you ignored me when I asked you to provide proof of your claim. Demonstrate to all of us that you're telling the truth and are not a liar by provide proof and evidence of your supposed criticism of Battier. Thanks in advance.

Find me that thread please. I'd like to see how I actually ignored the request. Thanks in advance.
