Oh great comeback never heard that before after that your probably gonna get it in the butt by lebron followed by d wade then bosh so its all good.
Yes, KG is playing very well on a winning team. Elton Brand is also kicking butt. And since there really isn't a distinction between Small Forward or Power Forward, you can see the list of candidates for the Forward position currently putting up better stats: Granger Lebron Paul Pierce Amare Kevin Garnett Elton Brand
What kind of stupid are you or are you just blind by your King BJ love? You are just making an excuse for Lebron. Much like people make excuses for Lebron's "poor" team last year which is sitting in the #4 spot right now in the East. You say the Cavs last year didn't have the opportunities. Well the Cavs won 61 games last year out of 82. That means they had 21 other games they could have won. Great clutch players create their own opportunities to win games. 3 of the most "clutch" players of all time have had dominating teams. Bird had a "dominating" team in the 80's Jordan had a "dominating" team in the 90's Kobe has a "dominating" team right now Bird ~35 game winning shots Kobe ~30 game winning shots Jordan ~24 game winning shots Lebron ~9 game winning shots (I didn't look up the exact number of game winning shots but it's close)
So far, Miami has beaten only one good team this year. Luckily for them they play in the Eastern conference. If they played in the west, I don't think they would make the playoffs.
2 game winning shots this year. 2 clutch misses by..... Eddie House. No opportunities for greatness or a fear of being the one to miss?
As usual, the West is much, much stronger than the East. Playing in the East is so much easier than the West. At this point Miami is 1-3 against good teams, so I think they would have to fight hard to make the playoffs in the West. The season is young, so they may really improve as the season progresses. But, at this point they don't look any better than most of the teams out west.
This is what people don't understand. The West is loaded with a lot of good teams and a few great teams. The East are top-heavy. They have arguably four of the best five teams in the league. The rest are either below-average or bad.
The question is "Are the Heat really a top 4 of 5" teams in the NBA? The media says they are. But if you look at their record, they're below the Golden State Warriors in the West. And if they lose tomorrow to the Celtics, that puts them in a tie with Memphis Grizzlies for the 8th seed. At what point does record outweigh hype?
so you really going to judge teams after 8-9 games? really? the games the heat have lost have simply due to either not being focused (hornets and jazz) and chemistry still not fully there (celtics). like i said, they are not going to hit their stride until december/january b/c their offense is still a work in progress (a huge one at that). they ARE a top 4-5 team in the L. and they WILL be the best team in the east when the season is over.
Correction the Heat's .625 would put them below the #6 Mavs right now. That would be #7 in the West with Utah being #8. Grizzlies are playing tonight so I'm not sure where they'd place tomorrow.
I'm judging the Heat off of 8-9 games. What are YOU judging the Heat's "Top 4-5 teams" off of?
Even if you drop the Heat, in no order the best teams are: Lakers, Celtics, Magic, Atlanta, and maybe Chicago (if Boozer gets back, maybe...)
I disagree. I think the top teams are: Lakers Celtics Magic Spurs Hornets Mavs, Warriors Hawks, Cleveland, Knicks
No. In the West, I'd rank. 1. Lakers 2. Spurs 3. Hornets 4. Mavs 5. Portland I'd put Heat into slots 6-9 fighting with Warriors, Nuggets, Jazz
