OOPS! I just noticed I clicked on a limited edition version on the website. My bad. I might try these out too.
Wet a cottonball with rubbing alcohol and swab it all over your head after you shave. Will burn a bit but really helps prevent the irritation.
I shaved my head this summer for the first time since high school (actually got a 1 all around). I then noticed I gained some weight since my high school days (obvioulsy) so it didn't look as good as I hoped. I've since grown it back out.
then you're probably refering to that strip around ear level, where your heads slopes down.... a lot of guys gets that there..it's a bad angle because it promotes ingrown hairs/irritation...if you constantly lift your head it could make it worse. Wha ti would do is sahve regularly around that spot. Then use the bump fighter razor to shave just that trouble area...it has these guards over the blade, so it leaves the hair longer....im not sure of the density or type of hair you have, so it may or may not blend in well, but it's worth a try. i would recommend against using alcohol...as that's used to kill the bacteria that can cause an infection and therefore cause irritation, but in your case it's a lot more likely it's the irritation that's causing a reaction, not bacteria. Alcohol will strip your skin and possbily make the irritation worse.
Use this stuff... It's called skin tight. You can get it from any ethnic beauty supply store. It's about $15 a bottle, but it works MIRACLES. Apply to the irritated ares 2-3 times a day. By the way... You WILL thank me later. lol
^^ that has alcohol and salicylic acid, so it's primarily aimed at acne/ingrowns, in other words, infection... I can't stress enough the need to differentiate between actual infection and just irritation. Without actually seeing/examining the problem area no one can be sure which one it is, but i advice you to keep in mind there's two possibilities. If your issue it purely irritation, applying harsh ingredients like SA and alcohol may just make it worse or simply keep you in a cycle.
Maybe so... It worked wonders for me and everyone I know who's tried it. I had the same symptoms as the OP. I've been told that the tea tree oil is what makes it work so great.
Problem solved. This is all you need. http://www.amazon.com/Organic-Root-...Lotion/dp/B003GLKUSW/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top Also I would recommend the Andis superliner clippers versus a razor anyday with no irritation. http://www.amazon.com/Andis-Superli...ef=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1288629393&sr=8-1
Awesome clippers I shave my whole head them results are really close and clean. Here's a couple of videos of the andis superliners in action. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/mszVRjT5cMs?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/mszVRjT5cMs?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/dW19mCVVVzE?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/dW19mCVVVzE?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
What I use now is the Wahl Designer clippers. I just shave without the blade, so it leaves a little bit of stubble that I think looks better on me than the completely shaven look.
I had mine shaved by a barber for the first time last week and then I bought the head blade and headslick product and did it myself and it worked like a charm.
if youve sharpened and adjusted your liners you can get an extremely close shave but shaving an entire head can wear down liners.. also i doubt most average folks get clippers sharpened.. i have a pair of styliners with a pro-mate blade, they dont get as hot as say a pair of outliners but provide a close shave.. you can also knick yourself up pretty bad with these. i havent tried the superliners but ive heard good things, they also have a promate blade available for the super liners which i recommend checking out.. if you want to save your liners i recommend wahl balding, 5-star of course, 5-star have medical grade blades.. with proper adjustment you can get #000 which is basically skin..
I'm clinging to scraps until the ship sinks. Just don't have the head shape for cool young bald guy look.
