Dude....wade got 16 attempts last night, excluding the times he got hacked. If he can't find his rhythm after 16 attempts he shouldn't be scoring in the first place. Its not about stats, its about the fact that with Mike Miller out they don't have good shooters to space the floor for both Lebron and Wade. Wade's overrated anyway, most of his attempts result in bailouts by refs, Bosh and LBJ is good enough to win a ring if they could only have good shooters spacing the floor. Also LOL at still sticking to the whole "LBJ isn't the best player on his team" schtick. Yeah, Wade's been awesome
Lebron hit more "clutch shots" than Kobe last season, and out of everyone in the league he put up the highest contested shot %. But don't let facts get in the way of your rant....
Kobe made 6 game winning shots last year. Lebron made 0 game winnings host last year. But please don't let the facts get in your way of the bj.
Wade is not getting the ball in his comfortable position, that's top of the key. He's trying to post up, catch and shoot, drove from side, none of these is his strength. He's probably gonna get better once he finds better rhythm, but he's not gonna be an elite player playing in this style.
he turned the ball over plenty of times doing the pick and rolls at the top of the key and forcing the issue. the guy was simply rusty. the shots he took outside of the dream shake were his type of shots. he simply missed them and his timing was way off. he'll be fine. btw, wade is very good at posting up and he should with rondo on him numerous times; like i said, his timing was way off. the concern is bosh. can he handle the pressure of how every game will be magnified with a microscope? btw, now you know why jamison sucked. if KG can shut down bosh, jamison was too easy. you need a skilled big man like gasol or dirk or duncan to offset KG's defense.
LOL, you have to convince yourself Gasol's the better player on that team while Kobe's collecting the final MVPs. Ain't so? Stats are so overrated, Malone had better stats than MJ in 97, so what, was Malone a better player? Kobe's a top 10 all time great, will secure a top 3 spot if he gets one more FMVP, like it or not. Kobe extended his contract in the middle of 08-09 season, when he could be a FA after the season, when that team hadn't proved anything, didn't have the best record in the league. But he believed he's enough to win and he made it. We all know what happened when James was in that position. That alone, LeBron cannot hold Kobe's jockstrap forever.
Bosh definitely seems to be the weakest link out of the big 3, He is not a true dominant post player, just another oversized guard that plays the 4
LeBron's the TO machine, didn't he have 8 TO last night? KG's a shell of himself 3 years ago. The problem with LeBron or Wade for that matter was their offense is too predictive. P&R from top of the key, after running 100 times every game, even a dumb player would know the rotation with eyes closed.
Does anyone think Chris Bosh kinda looks like a giraffe after he got his hair cut? He looks like he's bobbing his head back and forth when he walks around has a long ass neck.
This is true. Now everyone sees the adjustment they are going to have to make. Wade missed all preseason and they played on the road against a very good defensive team who went 7 games in the finals. That is not the best team to try and find your chemistry against.
How many game winning shots did LBJ attempt last year? Did it ever occur to you that when a game isn't close at the end, there are going to be less opportunities? There is a "clutch stat" metric that accounts for this by factoring in big shots in the waning minutes of close games (which occur a lot more frequently than buzzer beaters obviously). Within this metric, LBJ (and others) has consistently outperformed Kobe-- and the reason is that as the sample size increases, the "clutch" numbers gravitate towards the "normal" numbers, where LBJ is superior to Kobe in pretty much every category. This notion that Kobe is some sort of mystical closer who only gets stronger as the game goes on is a complete fallacy-- in fact, his 4th quarter numbers in the Finals (the biggest stage of all) were the worst in NBA history. It's almost like, say, Chinese propaganda.
This is stupid statistic, and you should feel stupid for using it. There are more "clutch" shots than just the one before the game ends. The Cavaliers did not play like the Lakers last year. Instead, they tend beat the teams that they were supposed to beat by large margins. The Lakers, for whatever reason, probably had 25 games where it was a 1 or 2 possession game with a minute left. And why does goodbug post on this forum? What a pathetic kid. All he does is post about Kobe Bryant, who noticeably performed worse than LeBron did against the Celtics despite having "quit" on his team.
The Rockets looked much better last night than the Heat did. The Heat are a work in progress that may never achieve their expectations. I have my doubts that they are going to be as good as anticipated.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/truehoop/miamiheat/news/story?id=5734107 the heat's first game drew 7.8 million viewers, highest for a regular season game since 96 (jordan v. magic) for a CABLE broadcast. this team will bring more fans to the game, esp. casual fans since most people love to cheer against the team everybody hates.
Aaaand youre sayin this after 1 game into the season, about a team whos only played together for one game. Smart.
