I expect him to do awfully well there, and I expect some post-trade grumbling here when he does. Last year he had to overplay and made a terrible mistake trying to masquerade as a primary scorer. This year, he can settle into a proper role as a #3/#4 option, and Paul will set him up better than anyone could here. There's also the post-trade chip on the shoulder that almost always delivers. We had 4 Small forwards. Battier Budinger Ariza Jeffries We traded away the 3rd best one, IMO.. Good move. DD
No, you are a 3 if you can defend other 3s and play offense like a 3, he defends 3s but he doesn´t play offense like a 3 He defends 4s and plays offense like a 4, so he is a 4, that can play D on some 3s PeAcE
He plays like a 3, but he has the body of a 4. Dude is a tweener just like Mike Harris but because of being bigger, he gets on the floor, when really can't play against most bigs that well.
I voted no. It's hard to make the All-Star Team, but I'm not going to disparage him for having the drive to try to make it. Still, I liked the way he played when Martin came on the team. His stats the last 21 games of the season: 38% three point shooting 13 points 4.4 Assists 5.9 Rebounds 1.8 Steals 0.9 Blocks Very impressive all-around stats that not many small forward can replicate. Would have surely improved even more playing with Yao. I think with the Hornets he will get some easier buckets playing with Paul, but at the same time the Hornets will look to him to score, which is not a good thing as we saw most of last season.
I think he has the potential to be an All-Star so i voted yes, but its all on him and how he uses his potential. He will have to improve his game big time but Im sure CP3 will help with that
If Cp3 can turn Chandler into a $12 million dollar commodity what do you think he can turn Ariza into? plus, you're treating him like hes McGrady which is wrong. He's a Hornet now. WRONG FORUM!
Do you honestly think Budinger is better than Ariza? Ha. Jeffries is more of an undersized power forward...
He's a clown for thinking he is better than what he really is: a solid player in the league... but not even close to an all-star. If he can improve his shooting and stop taking such bad shots, yes. He has a small possibility. But at the moment his skills aren't good enough to compensate with the bad shots he is taking.
Yes, I do think Budinger is better than Ariza....he has so much more upside, and is younger, smarter, and can shoot a lot better. Give me that guy and let him learn from a cerebral player like Shane any day of the week. DD
and so it came to pass in those days ... resolved. in order to shore up confidence in roster changes, all departing players must be sullied and their images burnt in effigy. that is all ...
