Just recently got caught up on some of the movies I've missed...

The Losers [8/10] - Pretty good action flick. Had some pretty good humorous moments and I'm a fan of Chris Evans. The villain was perfect, just the way he talks and moves. Would've been better without the girl and the lame sex scenes they forced.

Kick Ass [9/10] - Holy Poop!! This far exceeds all of my expectations. I thought this was gonna be some ridiculous high school comedy or similar to Superbad. I was wrong. Tight sauce action sequence and brilliant story!

Fantastic Mr. Fox [5/10] - I don't know why, but the trailer really sold me on this movie. Very disappointed once I saw it tho.

    some random pr0n [10/10] - ...fap

I have two high school cousins that I want to suggest this to, but I can't really explain what the appeal is. I watched only the dubbed version, but I think the voices used were appropriate. I have a hard time even trying to fit it into a genre.

This movie is a great Wes Anderson film, right up there with The Royal Tenebaums, just picked it up on bluray.

Yup, that movie was fantastic and brought totally something new to the vampire genre. I don't understand with the remake also since they are like doing shots for shots from the original. The soundtracks are also fantastic and I don't think how the American remake is going to top it or try to even make it controversial.

Just saw Bound(1996) again last night and it's still holding up pretty well. This was The Wachowski Brothers first movie attempt to convince the studio to let them do The Matrix. 8.5/10

    The Duelists (1977) 8/10

Below the radar, but a beautiful and lush Napoleonic period film. Riddley Scott's first movie.

If you are older than 18 years old and can stand to watch a movie that isn't all CGI robots, I highly recommend it.

The Soloist - 7 out of 10. Dragged on about nothing. Good acting. I believed the story, but it got too long that's what she said.

The Proposal - 6 out of 10. It was the most predictable movie ever. I cannot stand how Sandra Bullock continues to get roles... she has no expressions on her face, like it's made of plastic, and her monotonous way of speaking ruins most dialogue between her and whomever it is.

    Bullock sad: "OMG OMG OMG."
    Bullock happy: "OMG OMG OMG."
Bullock nervous: "OMG OMG OMG OMG."
Bullock mad: "OMG OMG OMG OMG."

The Messenger - I give it a 6.5, for now. I watched this with my girlfriend who couldn't keep her freaking fingers from texting during the movie. after answering about the 5th text i gave **** about it and of course, she was upset. really ruined the movie so i'll have to watch again.

The Count of Monte Cristo - 7.5 Seen it before but I really enjoy this movie.

Battle Royale - 6.5 I loved the book but the movie was meh. It's about Japan set in the future and in order to keep children from revolting against the government, they randomly select high school students and force them to participate in a bloody battle of last survivor wins. The movie just didn't do a very good job of delevoping the characters, especially the villain. The bad subtitles didn't help either.

    Dear John - 3.5/10

I guess it was my fault for reading the book first, but even as a stand alone movie it was worse than I expected. Most of the movie's dialog was set up to be chatter, but music played over it half the time so you couldn't hear it. Story repeated itself during the movie. Everything seemed really forced and disconnected. Oh well. I guess I'll just stick to my books.

    Knight and Day

Was expecting so much more from the trailers, and the first half of the movie was decent. Problem is that most of the trailer is the whole first half of the movie, and nothing too exciting happens after that. Shoot the film skipped over what could have been some kick-ass action scenes. It's fairly enjoyable but it really could have been so much better.
