Not that I am aware of. I am just saying those are the 2 things police usually arrest people for who are mouthing off. Also, the "intoxication" part of public intoxication confuses people. You do not have to be intoxicated to get a PI. There is no test for a PI. You can be and many people have been arrested for PI without even having a drink. The law only states the officer has to smell an odor of alcohol and be in a public place. Those are the only standards for PI. Anywhere outside of your front door or gated yard is a public place. This is why when a cop knocks on your door they want you to step outside. So, they give those or disorderly conduct to pretty much anyone they want to arrest for whatever reason. Usually it is to people mouthing off.

Really????? That is your example of him being a racist? It looked more like a conservative view who brought up race in the discussion.

I dislike black liquorish. There. I said it.

someone already asked you a couple times and apologizes if i missed your reply, but where was the racial profiling?

i think he was arrested b/c he was being belligerent and despite repeated requests to calm down he did not. acting like that could be interpreted as interfering w/ an officers duties, which i think is an arrestable offense.

What if you then used that tragedy as an opportunity to attack the president and further a political agenda?

Why was he calling Barack Obama as "Hussein Ubama". And this just didn't happen once.

Also either him or TJ called him "Balack Hussein Ubama".

He was trying to arouse peoples' prejudices against Muslims and Blacks (including his own)

His exact words were "I don't care" and "black on white racism doesn't matter much."

    What discussion? WHERE?

He offered nothing to discuss. We all have the internets. We can read whatever articles are posted, and this one isn't some obscure tidbit. It's out there.

He has yet to state why he posted this article. He hasn't explained his  . He hasn't offered up any commentary or what about it should be discussed. He is trolling for attention. This thread has now become about him (and basso, as they are similar people) and he is eating it up.

This board would be 100x better if this section were blown up and politics were banned from the bbs. The sad part is I can't avoid this section, as much as I try to. I'm a glutton for punishment I guess.

black on white racism doesn't matter much because whites aren't oppressed, have never been oppressed, and aren't in any danger of being oppressed because of race.

Irt isn't really thart big of a problem. It's bad and it's wrong, but in the larger scheme of things it doesn't matter much.

This is soooooo wrong. Two wrongs don't make a right, friend. You sound like you have an extreme case of white guilt.

A woman just got punched in the face because of black on white racism (allegedly). I'd say that matters.

Would you agree that if a white man just beats up a black guy because of racism that it is also an insignificant event?

If people could had basic reading comprehension, people would realize from numerous follow up articles on the Gates arrest, that Crowley put in his police report that the suspect was a black man or dark person...and that was what he was looking for when he was approaching the house...even though the face was that the woman who called the police never described the race or color of the suspect. So the question would be why was Crowley looking for a black suspect when the suspect was not described as such. I will try to find a link later.

Maybe successful reading comprehension or follow up on a news event depends on what side of the color fence you're on. But facts are facts.

That's his middle name, isn't it? Besides, I don't think a subtle jab like that makes someone a "bigot."

If so, then why didn't you link to THAT post?

This thread is 14 pages long, man. If you scroll past all the "THERE IS NOTHING TO DEBATE!!!!11" posts, there are actually a few people having a rational discussion. Again...D&D stands for Debate and Discussion Forum.

Well, hell, why even have this forum then? 99% of threads started in this forum are started with an article and link.

Eh, that's debatable (get it?), but you may be right. Now, I'm back to the Hangout to try and find out who this RPD chick is!
