Heart skipped a beat....I had no idea my brother was on business there today..but he was...fortunately he was in a high security area and is ok. But they're still on lockdown.
Fox News seems to be trying really hard to make people conclude that this was a Muslim terrorist attack. They don't come out and say it, but all the commentators have been basically dropping that hint at every opportunity with leading questions and comments. Kinda sad at this point.
Are you serious? They wouldn't even drop the guy's name for an hour after MSNBC came out with it. Nice try to politicize a tragedy.
A little info update on Major Malik Nadal Hasan. Source: http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5jwXtdoKPsNJg9PPKF7708ZC4N56AD9BPLJ1G1
I don't disagree with where you are goin but the guy was a major. Pretty serious **** there if someone that high ranking was involved in the shooting.
Not at all. First, I don't watch MSNBC. From what I've heard, I wouldn't put it past them to try and stir up some sort of terrorist attack angle so they could come back with a "look at the stupid conservatives" story. But again that is conjecture, as I don't watch MSNBC. That having been said, I've been flipping between CNN and FOX nonstop. The tone on FOX is clearly different, and clearly indicates that they've drawn a conclusion. For instance, when they had the Major General (Robert Scales) who is the military analyst for FOX, he was introduced as "Terrorism Expert for Fox News", even though that isn't his job title with the network. General Sales went on to explain how his sources indicate that this was clearly the work of someone who knew what they were doing and were very calm and focused (with a big hanging 'therefore' left unsaid). Of course, he doesn't in any way talk about the infamous 1000 yard stare that people who snap get, because they would lead you away from thinking it was a premeditated terrorist attack. I don't know, maybe they don't mean to do it, but watching FOX it is clear they all believe that this was some sort of organized Muslim terror attack. Watching CNN, I feel I am watching "clean" news without all sorts of added and implied context. Seriously, have you been watching CNN and FOX as much as I, that you can say that FOX is covering it in as unbiased a way as CNN?
Fox wouldn't even give the guys name as Chris Matthews was on the phone with someone proposing a Muslim-infiltration possibility (to Matthews credit, he did not advance that). I think you are ascribing your own bias to Fox's coverage.
My cousin is a resident doctor in Temple. I texted him and he replied by saying that a few of the injured were life-flighted to his hospital.
I've been flipping back and forth between the two. Can't say I'm getting that vibe, man. Near as I can tell both networks are reporting the news responsibly as news becomes available.
