I like several of the flavors but I always find myself gravitating towards the Banana Pudding flavor. Oh, and I tried the new Southern Blackberry Cobbler flavor that they recently came out with and it kicks @ss. I love me some Blue Bell ice cream.
Guess I'm pretty boring when it comes to ice cream...I go for the Homemade Vanilla, Vanilla Bean, French Vanilla, Dutch Chocolate, Great Divide, Tin Roof (love this) and sometimes Cookie Dough....not all at once of course. Pretty much anything vanilla and chocolate. Ice cream is one of those few things I don't mind spending a little more on...just because Blue Bell is so freakin' good.
I'm partial to cake batter & candy jar. Although I did try blackberry cobbler and it did kick ass, just needs more "cobbler" in it... blue bell has a habit of skimping on ingredients.
1. Pralines and Cream 1A. Banana Pudding 1B. Peppermint 1C.Butter Pecan 1D. Home Made Vanilla 1E. Tres Leches Birthday Cake and Pineapple Upsidedown Cake were a rare disappointments.
I always try a new flavor in the pints. I wish they had more. Not a fan of Black Walnut. Banana Pudding and Cherry Vanilla was good.
Is Blue Bell ice cream the one with that annoying jingle on the radio all the time? It's the tip of the top The cream of the crop It's like having your very own ice cream shop Ugh.... Do they have black walnut?
We are lucky SOB's here in Texas, we have Blue Bell. In no particular order: Homemade Vanilla Dutch Chocolate Cookies n Cream Butter Pecan Fudge Brownie Nut and one of the best things they ever made was apparently only temporary - Chocolate/Mint Chocolate Cookie .. in other words, Dutch Chocolate with Girl Scout Thin Mints crumbled into it... OMG Goooooood.
Way back in the dark ages, when I was a kid, when we'd drive through Brenham, my mom would always stop and get a gallon of Red Velvet Chocolate. I'm not much of an ice cream head, but I haven't seen that flavor in well over 20 years. (It was never available from anywhere other than the creamery and a few shops locally...from what I can remember.)
I like some of the unusual flavors, but I mostly buy Homemade Vanilla or Coffee because I'm usually using the ice cream in a more complex dessert, not just eating it straight.
