Interesting bump, but I'll play... Charlie's on I-10 and ~Bunker Hill is still open. And rocks. Pappas' Burgers is open on Westheimer. And is decent. Cliff's rocks. Beck's Prime rocks. For some reason Southwell's rocks a little less these days. Lankford (sp?) Grocery rocks. Fuddrucker's sucks butt. Roadster's rocks but isn't even the best burger on the block, because BBB (Bellaire Broiler Burger) is maybe the best burger in Houston. Miller's? Roznofski's? Need to try them.
I dont see the love for becks prime. I had the burger there and whatever sauce they use doesnt add to the taste at all. Plus its a fast food burger. Ive had 2 good fast food burgers, both in the southside, Tornado Burger and 5 Guys. Jax on south rice or Durham off I10 is my perennial favorite, with Frank-n-Steins and Bakers Street having good burgers for being bars.
i have rediscovered christians. perfect pre-rockets game gathering place. had two pitchers, a whiskey and coke, and two cheeseburgers for ~$25 before tuesday's game. plus i got to see demeco. as far as fast food, five guys blows anything else away. best bacon on a burger ever. cannot wait for the one to open on eldridge and briar forest.
PO's on Telge out in Cypress. I don't even have to leave my parents neighborhood for a badass burger.
Poppa Burger ftw... havent been there like 3 months though..i grew up on poppa burger..i lived like right aroung the corner from it... although is not the same since they changed owner..its still pretty good.. open 24/7 7 days a week even on most holidays.....just dont go at night time without a pepper spray or a gun....seriously..
For anybody who works/lives in SW Houston, it doesn't get any better than Texas Hamburger Palace on Ranchester in between Harwin and Westpark Tollway.
BurgerTex is pretty good. I think they hav ea location somewhere in north houston along with pearland and webster.
