Post your favorite memories. I used to love Chris Jericho before he moved to the WWF. He used to come out in WCW and have his hair all poofed up and call it the "lion's mane". Huge nWo fan, "tooooooooooooooooooooooo sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet."
Jericho doing his mockery of Dean Malenko being the man of 1000 holds was classic. He proceeded to say he was the man of 1004 holds and did a segment where he read off a list of every wrestling move he knew. It's famous because every other one or so was "ARM BAR" Oh, and the nWo was awesome before they brought in everyone and their neighbor.
by glory days I assumed you meant Hulk Hogan Andre the Giant King Kong Bundy Hillbilly Jim Rowdy Roddy Piper Iron Shiek Nikoli Volkov That was when wrestling became mainstream entertainment. It seems like it has now slipped back into a niche thing.
yall remember the rowdy rowdy piper, the iron sheik, mean jean, jake the snake, strike force, ricky the steamboat dragon, tito santana, road warriors, the rockers, junkyard dog, bam bam biggalo... ah the good ol days.
the von erichs fabulous freebirds rock n roll express midnight express ric flair, WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH BROTHER
Paul Bosch and wrestling at the Coliseum. Pepper Gomez (my Grandmother's favorite, so he was mine as well!), Danny McShane, Gorgeous George, Duke Key-au-mooka, Masked Marvel, The Crusher, Killer Kowalski, Wild Bull Curry (my favorite "bad guy" - the dude was serious bad news, it wasn't all a show ), Fritz Von Erich (The Iron Claw). Folks, that was Houston wrestling!
How about Dr. Death, Ted Dibiase, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, The Freebirds, and The Midnight Express when they used to work the Houston circuit with UWF. I used to love me some Dr. Death.

mid to late 80's was the first golden age, but then 1996-2001 saw the highest television ratings, attendance figures, ppv buyrates, wrestler salaries, etc. of all time. It has now totally fallen into the toilet though. 1992ish-1996 was a really bad period though as well.
exactly. althought Jericho was awesome. a few others. Junk yard dog. Ultimate warrior like someone else said hacksaw...HHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Dr. Death Steve Williams? The Rock and Roll Expess' main rival the Guerrero Brothers, still remember the cage match I saw them in. The Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase Koko B Ware Kamala Those were the Days!
Sunday mornings, channel 39, Houston Wrestling. They had that rock-version of the Nutcracker Suite for their opening theme music. Always got me pumped up. Tony Atlas was my favorite.
