I love Cannibal Corpse. Almost as much as Gwar, Cattle Decapitation, The Locust and Ed Gein. Gets my blood pumping. I love "grindcore." But I wouldn't classify it as metal.

its really funny that right after I made my last post, I was doing some work and thinking to myself..."Hey I feel bad about not mentioning either Priest or Ryche....maybe I should make one more post to give them their rightful props." so, with this mistake present in my mind....here is my top 10 metal bands that I like over all others. Maiden Sabbath early-Metallica (the first three albums have zero flaws)(everything after And Justice sucks) Priest AC/DC Queensryche Pantera Motorhead Megadeth early Anthrax Helloween yea, I cant count, but Helloween and Anthrax are right there together. This of course does not mean these are the top bands ever overall, cuase there are actually several bands that would be right up there in my top five if you didnt limit the list to metal. I apologize for being so careless with my initial replies to the thread, I kinda figger most of yall know my tastes by now considering how active in music threads I used to be....as moe shows.
I dont classify Zep as metal, even tho what they did is the basis for all hard rock/metal. They are what I consider hard rock. Hard rock actually contains a higher percentage of bands I really like than metal....but the metal ones I do like I *really* like.
We played some grindcore shows back in the day. Those were fun, no one gave a **** about anything. Everyone just rocked out. This band from cali were called GODSTOMPER, they were the ****.
You should check out my boys band from austin, they are called Thumbscrew, u might like them. They went on tour w Ed Gein a while back.
