http://www.cesweb.org/default.asp here's last year's show: http://www.cnet.com/4520-11405_1-6398208-1.html
lots of celebrities endorsing products and just people showing up. http://www.cnet.com/4831-11405_1-6415052.html?tag=blog Could it be possible that there are more Hollywood A-list celebs (and B- and C- list too!) on display at CES than gadgets? Well, maybe not, but the star sightings are getting a lot of buzz. Sightings have included K-Fed, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Snoop Dogg, Nicole Ritchie (who I personally got to see), Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes (got to see the back of their heads), Dan Marino, Ellen Degeneres, Jeremy Pivens, Xzibit, Howie Mandel, and Pat O'Brien--just to name a few. Of course, we all know they aren't actually technophiles. They just play one at CES (for money, of course). I met Steve Young and Chris Carter, they were promoting Samsung TVs. Chris Carter laughed at me when I told them I think the Texans would do well. Keep in mind this was predraft debacle. Kenny Smith was there sponsoring Google. Ludacris was there promoting Sirius. Its plenty of fun.
not this year, well. it starts at the end of the CES show (thurs), but i'll be leaving thurs. in past years it would start at the same time. This year's CES starts on a monday. usually its weds-sat. but it got too big, that's why im guessing they are doing it on monday and missing the p*rn show overlap.
heh reminds me of the movie "The Girl Next Door" the dude that tells Elisha Cuthbert's character (hottie btw) "Your better than this!"
i'll be there, staying las vegas hilton. up for watching a rockets game if i don't have a customer meeting that night.
Wonder if Laser TVs will have a good presence at CES (thought I read they would, but can't find anything on it right now). Some info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laser_TV Too bad it seems like SED TVs won't ever come out.
yeah, its free if you register in advance and work for a consumer electronics related job. you thinking of going?
