The Rockets are going to trade Cato to the Bucks for their 15th pick in the draft. It is already known that George Karl wants to trade this pick and he likes Cato. By trading Cato for their first round pick this will give the Rockets even more money to spend next year on a free agent. The Rockets will draft Moiso with the 9th pick and Etan Thomas with the 15th pick. Etan Thomas looks like a player very similar to Cato anyway with a cheeper price tag. ------------------
humorous. Even though there is a wonderful invention called a "Salary Cap". Etan Thomas is a power forward, not a center. ------------------ Rockets fans wanted at hoopsboards.com Draft Chat, NBA Chat, Team Chat, and more!
I think that Cato should go to Chicago for their 5th pick, ship drew with him if neccesary (possible the 4.5 mil trade $). Chicago is currently in talks with Portland to aquire Jeramine O'Neil for the 5th pick. I think Chicago would do better with Cato & Drew, then Jeramine O'Neil. 5th pick - Darius Miles 9th pick - Moisu, E. Thomas, or M. Miller ------------------
If Miles is as good as advertised, and available with the #5, than that deal is a no-brainer. With Moiso/KT at the 4, the team would be set at every position but center for 10+ years.
I've posted this about 12 times but still, the Rockets should keep the Catomic Bomb. ------------------ I AM SPARTACUS
If the Rockets can get the bulls 5th pick for Cato and Drew that would excellent. If they can get their 7th pick I would still do it.
exactly DEAN. I'd need a real center in return to trade him. Ervin Johnson wouldn't count. At least Olowokandi level and up. ------------------ Rockets fans wanted at hoopsboards.com Draft Chat, NBA Chat, Team Chat, and more!
I'd have to disagree Calvin. Anyone who would waste an entire warm up session jacking up half court shots instead of working on what low post moves he does have deserves to get the boot. Other people have interest in him. We should unload him before they find out he's a slacker. T.Ham was known for not having much motivation to play. We thought we'd work with him and try to motivate him. It backfired. We shouldn't do the same with Cato and blow the chance that we have to cash in on Cato's market value. ------------------ He who stands for nothing will fall for anything.
