You hit it on the nail in your own post why JVG should't be blamed for the losts.

Opinion or not, we don't need "Fire JVG" threads after every game.

Edit: BTW bplld is up to 3 "Fire JVG" threads and counting, along with a "Fire Casserly" thread to boot. The guy seriously needs some new material.

Phil Jackson was able to win some without Shaq with just Kobe and a bunch of nobodies. He was able to win with just Shaq and Kobe out, too. He was able to win with Micheal Jordan out and just Scottie Pippen. He coaches a more fluid game. JVG needs everybody firing on all cylinders to scrape by. That sucks. You have to have some flexibility, some room to ride the hot hand and sag off the cold guy. JVG doesn't play the game in front of him, he plays against an ideal in his head.

That said, even Phillip would have trouble getting anything from this roster. Of course, he wouldn't have this roster.

Blah, blah, blah, blah. Come back when half our roster isn't out with injuries.

There's a problem in that Yao isn't on the same level as Shaq. As a result, it's not surprise that he had so much trouble winning without McGrady.

McGrady was able to win a few games with Yao out. However, even if their talents are comparable, Kobe is less injury-prone than McGrady. Many of those games that McGrady played without Yao it didn't seem like he was 100%.

Lastly, We don't just have Yao and TMac out. Those Lakers teams may have been two stars + peanuts, but we have so many players injured right now, we're forced to start a perennial 12th man, and play 3 others off the bench.

People around here are always searching for one thing to blame. It's the mark of a delusional fan. When we were losing earlier in the season, it was Yao's fault. Then, it was CD's fault for getting "ripped off" and signing Swift to his "huge" contract (even though half the people complaining now were riding Swift's jock in the offseason), and trading for Alston. Now, we're back to "FIRE GUNDY."

    It's never just ONE thing...

Sorry, I don't agree with the very first thing you said.

With TMac, Yao, Stro, DA, etc. out, we have the worst lineup in the NBA, by far.

And this thread should be locked.

even when we had all the tools at the beginning of the season the offense sucked. i do blame jvg for that. if we had more of a phoenix offense mac and stro would excell.

This is my first time "getting in before the lock". Another dumb thread, but that's the trend recently. To some, JVG is the devil incarnate, everything wrong with the team (including injuries  ) is his fault and everything good about the team he has nothing to do with. He can do no right so therefore he must be fired.

If you won't accept that as a reason for having JLIII, Head, Mutombo, and Bowen logging major minutes, you're just an idiot.

Are any of the admins going to take charge of these thread nazi trolls? This is just f'n ridiculous.

What the hell is JVG going to do with his 2 stars out because of injuries? He is trying his best to deal with what he has.

Injury and short of talents cannot cover JVG's poor coaching. Think about Olando in 1999-2000. Magic ended that season with 41-41, and their best player was Darrell Armstrong at that time.

I sure wish Jeff would stop injuring our players.

Seriously can we put in a policy where you get banned for starting a fire JVG thread when half our lineup is out?
