I like Sura. He's an enforcer. Yeah he probably shouldn't be starting, but he's not afraid to get in a fight. When he took down Howard the last game that was awesome. Sura would be great off the bench.

    that totally sucked.

It sucked because after games 1 & 2 this series was the Rox too lose and thety lost it. They blew leads going into the fourth quarter at home and they blew free throws down the stretch in game 5. If the Rox hhad taken care of those we win.

    :(

Have to agree with that one. To be fair, Hakeem did the same thing. But I hope we nurse a grudge over it anyway, 'cause we're sure gonna meet these Maverick boys in the playoffs again soon.

Certain wise men mentioned long ago that this team live or die by the primeter. Unfortunately, that turns out to be true today. It's very hard for a team built upon such concept as ours to win in a seven-game series. You've got a great offensive player in Yao Ming, but he's barely the second option on the team. That tells you something. We've got to find a PG with pass-first mentality. For that matter, I like Dan Dicau very much. Is there any way we can get him? Of course, we also need a defensive-minded PF. But realistically, who can we get? Next season, MJ will still be the 6th man. Sura should be demoted to the 8th option. Wesley, Barry and Deke will come off the bench. So, we're without 3 starters. Les gotta be more generous and find us the missing pieces.

Yao had 33 points today....I don't think he was less then the 2nd option....

Would like to see Yao start demanding the ball and taking 20 shots a game.

just catch few minutes of Michael Finley postgame conference...what a idiot.

I hate the Mavs. I'm sure Phoenix will crush them!

You really have to question Deke's guarantee on this game. It could only serve to inspire Dallas, and it seems like it had a good affect.

Maybe that's why he was held out of the game - I don't know, but Deke is 60 years old, he should have known better.

Why the hell did T-Mac sit the entire 4th quarter. I know we were down big, but that doesn't explain why we should give up. I know Kobe, Jordan...would never sit thru a 4th quarter if his team is down [especially game-7].

Even if JVG had told him to sit, he should have gotten up and demanded to be put back in. I was disappointed in that more then anything tonight.

But I still love the Rockets. Next year we can only be stronger...I still Believe.

That psychological, bulletin board material is way over blown.

We played like crap, couldnt hit a single shot, and our whole offense lacked any continuity.

Dallas wouldve played great because the law of averages says Dallas will make those shots given the opportunities.

Bob Sura and Padgett were complete liabilities on both ends.

My wife said same thing, but she is a big Rox fan too. Finally peace. Well, had we got out 1st around, we wouldnt last another a week and half, so let it come sooner. :)

Spurs is at whole another level, mind boggling. Ducan, parker, Gino and then barry, horry, robinson, Narzi, Boki's brother, mind boggling. How could they stack up like that.

It's about how each play is excecuted. We make a living on our perimeter. Our style and winning pattern simply doesn't say Yao is the second option. FYI, Yao scored most of his points when we're down, like 20.

An enormous disappointment tonight. We need to get youth and talent to back T-Mac and Yao. Our future depends on the continued development of Yao and the maturing of T-Mac but they need a lot of help.

Maybe, but he had a decent first half.

Dallas came out determined not to let guys like Barry and James beat them, and it showed. They really exposed the lack of athelticism by attacking the basket and attacking McGrady when he had the ball.

I mean, Yao scored nearly half of Houston's points. Yao and T-mac combined for all but 18 of their points. Clearly the problem was not with Yao or T-mac.

Credit Dallas, and Avery, for finally taking advantage of their strengths.

I think my level of upsetness is not that high anymore, it was bad in the 2nd and 3rd QTR - but it's not so bad when you consider how much measureable improvement there is and such a bright future there is.

Doesn't compare to John Stockton's shot, or the OT game 4 against seattle.

I'm going to crash, but I'm so happy that there's something good happening with the Rockets again...I never thought they would get this good so quickly.

Well, Sura is going to have surgery very soon and will be stronger than ever next season.

Like I mentioned in one of the other previous threads, we just have to get rid of our deadweights (Ward, Braggs, Baker, and Moochie), get a good PF from FA (Swift - I hope), a 1st rounder in the draft, and round the team out w/ some scrappy FAs who just want to win.

Season over!! My only wish now is Yao decline to go back china and stay back to train in houston this summer. Come on, Yao, playin those meaningless asian basketball games, dont help you at all. Say No to the Chinese basketball officers, do it for the rockets if not do it for t-mac who really care to win!!!

Totally agree. That's why the Rockets need a roster reshuffle.
