    Fluff. He can not move.
Arm talent is there, that’s what he needs to prove.

    Yeah, he ain't too bright,

It would help if they took some responsibilities away from him, but that's not what he wants. He wants full control of the offense and that's what he got last yr. The results are the results, when Slowik took responsibilities away from CJ that was a big part of what got Slowik fired. I'm pretty sure Caley doesn't want to suffer the same fate.

Every Texans fan would love to see this.

If he needs more motivation after the way he played in the playoffs there's something really wrong with him.

    CJ is what he is.

Herbert played well despite losing both of his OT's and an OG last yr. That's why he's being rated so high. Not saying I agree with this but I'm just giving you the why.

They aren't winning a SB with CJ either. So right now they're just wasting time. If next offseason they sign CJ to a 50-60 mil a yr contract they not only will be losing money but also players like Lassiter. Take the picks and draft your QB in 2027. If you think you're just a QB away then sign Mac Jones in FA and let the rookie QB that you drafted develop.

This is where I was at this time last offseason. Then last yr happened. What I would like to know is what makes Mr. Scarface so certain CJ's going to play well this season after watching him play last season?

What makes you so absolutely sure that CJ will absolutely, did I say Absolutely, you did, well, not those words, but you know how you feel about this team's chances to go to and win the SB. You have completely given up and that is sad. You are more than welcome to the parade when it happens, however, too hopeful? No chance? Maybe, but the young man mess up bad and he knows it. There are at least 2 people on this chat that will, hopefully, eat their words, I truely hope you will be one of them. If not, then what's the use, why hang around this "loser team"...

Not really, the Texans have a stacked team this yr. They just need Nico/Monty and the defense to stay healthy and I think they can win inspite of CJ.

Wow, great way to avoid my question.

I certainly hope you're right and I'm wrong.

A QB blowing a this cities best chance ever to win a SB will do this to a fan.

    Bro,
Nobody knows for sure if he will lite it up or get lit up.

I will say there are a few things that have happened this offseason that will make his life a lot easier:
    • This Defense will create turnovers and short possessions by the opponent. And being given good field position and a tired defense playing against us could only work for the better right off the rip.
    • Adding a valuable running back as well as bolstering the o line can only make things better on him.
The rest is up to him.

I know this and you do too, but what makes Mr. Scarface so sure that CJ isn't going to screw the pooch again in the playoffs?

Sorry for avoiding your question. I don't know why he is sure. I am not sure, nobody is sure. Are you sure this team will even make the playoff? 2 or 3 key injuries and its all smoke. Best defense will be nothing if WAJ/D Hunter or both are hurt or out. Backfield will be nothing if Sting or Las are out. We all hope it won't happen but it can. We all hope for the best.

Here is the point, hope for the best. Don't just assume it will be a disaster again. At some point, and I hope not, you can be right and CJ is JAG. You know what that means. No, there is nothing this team can do this year as no way to magically get a "better" QB this year. CJ is it. Davis M is not. Or maybe you are a secret Mills fan? Well he is 3 and 0. I digress.

    Great post,

Hope has been taken from me after the last 2 yrs of CJ playing like crap in big games against top tier defenses. Especially in the playoffs.

Never give up hope. Bob is all we have :) I do hope all the Texans fans will get to feel the joy. I was in on it for 5 times with 49ers. It is a good feeling and you get to buy the swag. For all you Star Wars fans out there; It's a new hope. Maybe he can be a Skywalker :)
