I think I agree strongly with these points about our mascot/leader. I really would prefer to see him in just about peak shape. Very much like we saw him shortly after he signed his big deal with us. I would much rather probably begin to think about trading him because I prefer smart but doubtful that will happen.
latest ig post from a few days ago shows him working out, but to me it looks like he’s taking a field sobriety test. DUI news coming soon.
Factz. He saw that Rockets gear & it lit a fire in him. Cookin Reed. Idc that it is open runs. It just look bad smh.
IMO, the difference between KD's offseason workout vids and most other NBA players is he always repeatedly practices moves and shots he repeats in NBA games. None of the fluffy nonsense JG used to demonstrate that was apparently for fan appeal. KD is very methodical and purposeful.
Nahh it was from a page that was showing Christopher's highlights they just so happen to be all while Reed was guarding him. We know Reed can get buckets. The defense is what makes him dam near unplayable sometimes.
Reed's jumper is so pure. I wonder if the new shooting coach will help him extend his range with more consistency. If he can shoot consistently from the 27-28 ft range, that will force the defenses out further and open more up for KD, Alpi and Amen. Last year he was about average. Reed's Shooting Breakdown The Distance Profile: His 25.6-foot average places him right around the league average for above-the-break shooters, keeping most of his attempts within 1 to 2 feet of the 23.9-foot line. Volume Breakdown: Out of his 576 total 3-point attempts, the overwhelming majority came from standard catch-and-shoot spots or balanced above-the-break pick-and-roll pull-ups rather than deep isolation bombs. Efficiency: His discipline in shot selection fueled an incredibly efficient sophomore campaign, where he averaged 13.5 points per game and nearly broke the Rockets' single-game franchise record for 3-pointers by hitting 9-of-14 in a game against the Bucks. If you compare him against best long-range guys he's got some room to grow, but I believe he's got the potential to be in the group below. Deepest 3-Point Shot Averages (2025-26 Season) Player Team Avg. 3PT Distance Primary Shot Profile Trae Young 27.8 feet, High-volume logo pull-ups and deep high-pick-and-roll triggers. LaMelo Ball 27.7 feet, Audacious, deeply-nested isolation triples and transition pull-ups. Damian Lillard 27.5 feet, Famous for half-court line gravity and late-clock deep releases. Tyrese Maxey 27.1 feet, Uses blinding speed to step back deep behind the line in transition. Stephen Curry 27.0 feet, Relies on deep off-ball movement relocation and deep off-dribble looks.
I'm with you in that minority I guess. KD's ridiculous shotmaking and those glimpses when Reed looked like he might have something were pretty much the only things I enjoyed last season.
In his defense players don’t defend hard in these runs. But looks like not much improvement on that end. Hopefully we will see more effort in the reg season
