Fertitta is keeping us under the first apron at all costs and the team will be a rinse and repeat until they decide to spend money. Durant, while healthy, will sell some tickets and keep us competitive enough to always be two players away from a title. Being a decent regular season team under the apron is the goal….not a Title and believe me there’s a huge difference.

 

It's becoming increasingly clear that Tilman isn't really interested in competing for a championship. Looking back, it seems like the only reason the rebuild even happened was because Patrick, and Stone to a lesser extent, convinced him to give it a try. Now that Tilman has seen the ticket sales go up, he isn't trying to go back to a rebuild. Essentially, we're stuck with what we have.....and that's a good regular season team but perinnial first round exit. Our peak might be a second round exit.

It would really help a lot if we got lucky and Fred could give us a few solid playoff series.

For the regular season I really hope they take their time ramping up his minutes. See what Smart/Amen/Sheppard can do running the point early in the season. Gradually take Fred from 15 to 30 minutes. 30 good minutes per game in the playoffs would be great.

Yep, it's also becoming clear that KD hasn't been, or won't be, traded is because he puts butts in the seats. If we're truly not contenders I see no other reason to keep him.

Yep KD on the roster is clearly a $$$ move. His presence gets us some marquee televised games that we wouldn't get otherwise.
