When apparently when you tear your ACL you hear a loud "pop" as if your knee did indeed explode. That guy just took FVV's account and ran with it and because majority of the people on this board hate the team they just believed it.

 

Im sure Red Blogger exaggerated it for engagement but Fred definitely hurt more than the ACL. He mentioned injuring the meniscus as well.

 

For the record, that's not uncommon for basketball players. According to ChatGPT, it happens 40-65% of the time in an ACL tear. Next to bone bruising (70-90%), meniscus tears are the most common additional injury with ACL tears. MCL (20-40%), Cartilage (20-40%), LCL (5%) and PCL (rare) are far less common.

 

Correct. When Fred mentioned the meniscus, the first thing I thought about was the “Unhappy Triad”, an ACL, Meniscus and MCL injury. Again, not uncommon but definitely more complex than what was reported.
