It says the Rockets have had a spacing issue. It also says the Rockets have had a lot of guys that put decent pressure on the rim despite lack of spacing.
The Rockets put a lot of pressure on the rim, then the rim returns that pressure and converts it into kinetic energy that propels the ball away from the rim.
Once again, the hatred on this forum for Sengun by the doomers is ridiculous and irrational. All stats demonstrate that while not elite, he is worthy of his 2x all-star status. He is currently between the top 20-30 players in the NBA and is just 23.
That kinetic energy is amplified by all the bodies around the rim that are ignoring our shooters because they can't create spacing. Really, it's a vicious cycle. If only we had shooters, those bodies would be forced to spread out, and the kinetic energy would cease to concentrate around the rim and "voila!", suddenly shots will start going in the paint. Funny how kinetic energy works.
Really? Sengun and Amen are easily among the better players on the Rockets, but share the burden of not being guarded on the perimeter without the ball and when not in an action. Amen was in less actions than Sengun so he was off ball on the perimeter much more without being guarded. I think it would have been silly for Ime to dramatically reduce either's minutes much.
You really should not comment on the defensive side of the ball, if you make ludicrous comments like Jalen Green became a 'good defender'. Good. Lord.
