Though the lack of awareness on the first goal was costly. Just one minute before that goal Argentina boots a screamer from the same spot that if it had been left or right of the goalie would have tied the knot, but Pickford saves it, and then they let Enzo take the same damn shot again one minute later and nobody was within thirty yards of ‘em. On target. Goal. Of course it was. Awareness.

That was like the 4th deep shot Enzo Fernandez had taken and every single one was dangerous af. So yeah keep leaving him wide open to fire on your goal just bc he’s outside the box.

His opening passes were decent, should've been utilized more. Don't understand why Tuchel didn't bring a quick player for Kane to feed and to keep Argentina a tad more aware of counters. English media will roast Tuchel now, for sure.

He deserves to be roasted. From leaving Palmer at home to never playing Saka to the completely wtf strategy after going up today, what a jackass.

England-France (Small Final) is not going to be bad if both play offensively.......Fighting for Bronze, there is not much pressure.

England parked the bus way too soon. What's the point of leaving Bellingham and Kane in if they have no intention of attacking? Instead of Wonderwall, the most apt Oasis song to describe this bunch is Champagne Supernova.

Argentina had like 6 shots on goal in 15 minutes. Why don't they play like that the whole game? McAllister hit the posts twice himself.

Yes! Yes! Yes! This is the question that needs an answer. Their sluggishness against Cape Verde. Their sluggishness against both Egypt and Switzerland until two very late goals.

Against England, at least they took control earlier in the 2nd half (even before England's goal), but they didn't ramp up to full intensity until almost midnight.

I doubt that works against Spain, who will beat them.

England gave the game away. It was as if they were told to stand down.

    Ay, yo, Messi.

For real, though, all of this is scripted. Everything is scripted.

Spain is not beating them. Argentina is winning. 3-2. Messi scores 2 and finishes his career with 23 World Cup goals. Maybe. o_O

Messi will have a hat trick. He has no need to conserve his energy.

I assume Messi will get the golden boot since he has the same number of goals as Mbappe and has 1 more assist

Edit: nevermind, I forgot there is a bronze medal game between France and England.

They left him alone because they had 3 guys covering Messi. Messi's gravity makes it all possible.

I still don't understand why Argentina doesn't just have Messi serve crosses all game long. It's like Messi told them that he only had 30 minutes of magic a game, so they decided to use it at the end of games.
