I totally believe in liking certain players. I dont believe in holding onto players after they've out lived their usefulness. That's how you run a franchise into the ground. Of course I dont get emotionally tied to players like you obviously do. I like Altuve/LMJ but think it's time to move on if possible/ I'm very thankful LMJ helped win 2 WS and that he waived his NTC. I wonder how much he got paid to waive it?
yes, because two years ago, some idiot GM was just dying to acquire LMJ’s injured self and pay $20/MM per year. Dana brown was such an idiot for passing on that easy and obvious exit strategy.
I can’t believe Dana Brown is also ignoring all the chances to deal Altuve and his $25/year contract. He and Jim crane are such fools for holding onto the past.
Are you saying if Dana got the chance to move Altuve he shouldn't do it? How about if Crane was willing to pay 15 of the 25 mil to move him?
Altuve also has the 5th best OPS on the team in the low 700s Not the star he once was for sure, but we dang sure don’t have someone waiting to replace him they would be an upgrade. I guess the idiot wants more Nick Allen, or Cavan Biggio or whatever
Altuve is fine with his declining contract. He gives us a chance when he comes up to bat. Can't say the same for a few guys.
I fully understand the past and dont want to have to go what they went through in the past by hanging onto Biggio/Bagwell too long.
Yea my thoughts on LMJ also. Yes he could be brittle but he was a sold out H town guy through and through. You know he wanted to be between the lines as 99.9% of them do, just not meant to be. He’s a legend in my H town Chip book. Wish him well.
Does anyone know where the next casting call for the finale for the Pirates of the Caribbean will be? Javier’s a perfect fit for an anonymous pirate role on one of this ships. Plot twist, he could play Calypsos long lost brother.
I’ll say this about Lance McCullers - he came from an MLB family. He was an uber elite prospect at an early age. Even with all of that, he never lost his love for the game and he never became jaded. He genuinely loves the Astros and Houston. He never wanted to play anywhere else and he keeps in touch with his teammates. Should absolutely be a fan favorite. If his a let him, he would pitch until he died.
**** dude.....sucks that he got traded. I've been by his side since day 1 and was hoping he would be back to his 2017 days. ****in'a, I even tried to grow up my hair just like his He-Man locks. All I can say is I'm going to miss that mother****er.....good luck to him with Milwaukee, except when we play him.
