Javier is serving up meatballs today regardless of who is catching. Yadi Molina or Johnny Bench wouldn’t be successful behind the plate.
Really curious to see how Javier is handled and what results he gets. In his 2 relief spots since coming back, his velo and whiff rate are much more in line with his peak. Can he keep it at that level for 4+innings, will the Astros even let him try? I imagine he is just an opener for a full bullpen day heading into the break.
