Unless you believe in an afterlife where your values follow you, your values are the only thing that was ever really yours to keep. Graham went from one of Trump's sharpest critics to one of his most loyal allies. I think that was purely political survival. He needed to get reelected, and he did what it took. That's the tragedy of a political life: you can spend decades building a reputation and end up remembered for the version of yourself you became to keep power, not the one you started as. RIP.
