If you still stand corner all the time when you play with a bunch of scrubs, you will be out of NBA very soon.
Why is it short sighted? Thornton spent 4 yrs in college and is the same age as Reed. He is a very good ball handler and is solid defensively in these 2 games I didnt see the opponent blowing by him for a score.
Bobby knows very little about basketball. He's the guy at the park who calls next and can't get anyone to run with him because if he's on your squad it's one and done then back to the end of the next line.
His defense wasn’t good yesterday. Consistently got blown by which was a concern coming out of the draft. Lateral defense virtually nonexistent.
Lots of miserable people here. He’s a solid prospect for a bench PG and you guys cannot wait to compare it to Sheppard. Sheppard is likely going to smash all of your negativity and confirmation bias to flinders this upcoming season.
I think that's where the coaches asked him to go. He wasn't playing point of offense for swaths of this game, giving others a turn. And his catch-and-shoot 3-point range looked better in this game. But hey, the Raptors were playing with a ton more talent. Thornton isn't a world-beater, but as a PG, he can make guys look better if they actually have a little game. I like his attitude quite a bit. And I hope they let him lead down at the g-league. There's no real reason to have Nix on that team. Find someone else.
He needs to play every game in the G-League this year and Copeland too. Nobody from the summer league team can fill in any position on the Rockets right now.
Yes. He just announced he bought his first home in McAllen, Texas………. Where he will be playing all year.
Tell us what, you dork? That Thornton would put up 17/6/6 shooting 50% from three with awesome hustle plays like this?
He is ok, probably a career backup because his athleticism isn't great, but his BBall IQ is very solid. DD
I think this is a pretty realistic take, but I also think landing a quality backup PG with a second round pick and locking him up at 4 year/9 mil (with only the first year guaranteed) is pretty good business.
My comment is based on his 4 yr performance in college. What SL does is confirm those qualities translate to the NBA.
